TWO questions....

1) I'm considering Ti Links for both XR10 and Wraith. I had heard that they might be available in 1/4". Also for the steering links on the Wraith. True?

2) On your Wraith Lower Links....they are bent or hi clearance. The stock ones are straight. Since they are bent, does it expose the drive line? I want to use the MIP's, but I'm thinking the drive line might get hung up with the bent lowers. True or false?

Thanks....

sorry for the slow response i'm going thru my old threads.
in the second to last picture you posted you can see the amount of driveshaft exposed.

if you prefer straight links i can do that. that's easy

as far as 1/4" links... yes we can make them and do make them HOWEVER i strongly urge you to reconsider. 3/16" is massive overkill. 1/4" is just adding too much weight to your suspension. this is a case where bigger is NOT better... its worse.

HTH

Any reviews or users of the delrin steering? I keep bending my home made 3/16 stainless rod steering tie rod and am considering the delrin since it'll deflect rather than bend

one of my local friends/product testers broke one about 2 years ago. i beefed up that area and have not had any other breakages. however if you bash your truck a lot I would highly recommend titanium. you will not bend a 3/16" 6al4v titanium link (while mounted on the vehicle).

the delrin links are more of a "finesse driver" link not meant to be driven full throttle into obstacles.

It's an Ultra4 2.2 Trophy class on a Pro4, so it'll be hitting rocks at speed every lap. The stainless isn't holding up, so the Ti should be better?

not typically but the 6al4v is really tough stuff. what type of stainless did you use? different alloys are made so you can bend and form them easier.

all my parts have a lifetime warranty and i have never had anyone bend or break a titanium link. just sayin.

10-4 on that, i'm running your dual servo CMS and panhard setup and love it

Looks like next paycheck gets a tie rod/drag link from you.

Oh, and do you offer custom lengths for the drag link? I'm wanting to get a D-lux ultra4 servo mount/axle truss and i'm not sure what length is needed for that.

we are almost ready to start making custom length links again. i think in about 2 more weeks we'll be in a comfortable position and i'll put something online for easy ordering.

FYI we're going to offer custom length turnbuckles around the same time.

*** The NEW Blems are in !!!***

i've got a dozen or so of the 4130 spools available. they have 6 holes instead of 4 due to a machining error and if using aftermarket gears you will have to open up the center hole a bit (approx .0005" larger).

these issues are enough to make the parts blemished but will not affect performance in any way.

rock bottom price of $15 each plus $5 shipping. email sales@bluemonkeyrc.com before they are all gone.
