| ![]() ![]() Twin Hammers Double D steering kit Tired of tons of slop in your steering? Breaking top plates constantly? The Double D steering kit eliminates both problems. You get the aluminum top plate and the steering bellcrank in one unit. The bellcrank setup eliminates the massive slop and binding that is created in the stock steering rack. The top plate provides a stronger front end for those big jumps and hard hits. Made from .160" 6061-t6 aluminun. All required hardware is included and the kit is a direct bolt in. The bellcrank arms ride on replacable oilite bushings and provide slope free steering. Optional mounting points for tie rod on bellcrank provide maximum steering throw. Correct geometry is kept to elminate any bump steer. *Aftermarket servo horn is required (Racers Edge, Robotronics, Integy, etc.)* ![]() ![]() $35 shipped in the US. PM me for shipping outside the US. PM for paypal info Last edited by derwood21; 08-12-2013 at 12:03 AM. |

Would you sell just the bellcranks or could that be an option in the future? I really like the design but want to be able to run it independent of the shock mount.

If you made a plate that worked with the blue monkey stand up shock mod would be awesome.... Great looking product though. Sent from my MB855 using Xparent BlueTapatalk 2 |

| ![]() Thanks for all the orders ![]() I have 5 more ready to ship out if you didn't get in on the preorder. The shock mount is still in the works but should have it nailed here soon. And for all the guys with concerns about this working with the BMRC shock tower, I have a steering kit on the way to a customer that is going to check the fitment and post up results. After looking at it closer, I'm pretty sure the tower will fit with the steering kit with alittle clearancing of the shock tower for the 4mm bellcrank bolts. We'll know for sure soon. |

So since guys are starting to get their steering kits I'll post up some pics and info on putting it together. included should be: -top plate -2 bellcrank arms -2 3x25 screws -2 4x25 screws -2 3mm washers -2 4mm washers -2 3mm locknuts -2 4mm locknuts -2 3mm spacers -2 4mm spacers -2 bushings If i mispackaged something(i have found out about one) sorry and if you need something PM me. Here's a pic for the assembly order for the bellcrank arms to the top plate. Run the 4mm bolt through the top plate then spacer, bushing w/ flange up, arm, washer, and nut. You don't need to tighten the 4mm nuts all the way down tight, just snug them up and adjust it til there is just alittle resistance in the arms. They should feel alittle stiff at first but it will wear in to pivot smoothly once you run it alittle. Here's a pic for the assembly order for the bellcrank arms to the top plate. ![]() When installing the center link make sure the rod ends are offset towards the rear. If you install the 3mm screws from the top you will have to slightly shave the lip of the plastic chassis tub as it will rub slightly. Here's the what you should have. ![]() ![]() Using the stock shock mount screws, run them through from the bottom side of the top plate. Slide on a 3mm spacer, then the stock regular nut, then the plastic stock ball. The steering kit is attach to the chassis with the stock 4 screws, 2 front, 2 rear. Hope this helps you with installing the steering kit. Any questions or concerns just PM me and I'll be happy to help you out. |

| ![]() I really wish I had better news for you guys right now. I'm learning the hard way how difficult it can be to get machine shops to work with you when you’re just a small time customer to them. I have had to go in search of a new shop to machine my parts for me. It’s not the easiest thing to find a shop to take on a job this small. I recently have found a guy locally that is willing to work with me and we're in the process of finishing up the programming for the cnc. I’m really hoping to have a test run in the next couple days and then have parts and kits ready to go out next week. I apologize for it taking so long because I know some of you have been waiting patiently for awhile now. I've invested too much time and money out of my own pocket to not fight til I get this going again. I will post up later this week when I have more news for you guys. |
