You sir have really good timing.

This is the next chassis run I am doing that I just started today.

This is based off similar body styling of the Taco Time rig, but will be slightly wider and have a little more belly clearance.

The Honcho body I am using is cut at the doors, but I am getting another one that will be a full side and I will be offering the tube work to fit the half door style or full door style for pre orders, otherwise they will all be made in the half door style.

This chassis will be 320.00 + shipping for just the metal work (includes tube work, shock mounts, bolt pattern for scx10 skid, and nuts to hold body panels on. And because of the 10 different requests I have had for this chassis I will be offering pre orders. This run should be done in roughly 2 weeks. I hope to get it done sooner, but right now I am shooting for the end of next week.

I know, I'm magic. Sounds like it'll be really good. Now I just need to decide if I want a new motorcycle helmet or a chassis.

Strap a pillow to your head with a colander over it and you will be solid.

Sounds like a easy choice to me.

To you it sounds easy. Rc chassis or Troy lee Designs SE3 Carbon Pinstripe or Team chrome.

Sweet! PM sent. I've been waiting for you to do this chassis for us.
I was going to try to make my own but I never weld or brazed before
So thanks.

I'd rather buy one from TURTLE, that way you know it's straight and strong. Not nocking your fab skills, he's got the tools and skills to make it bombproof.

Much appreciated.

A little update.

One pre order filled.
Two pending payment.

Which means there is only one of these left. So if you want one you better jump!

Default Ty's Metal Works

I can't wait !!! After watching three of these rigs murder my hopped up Scx 10 and look like real 1.1 tube frame crawlers I gotta have one !!! Factoring in man hours and supplies, skill and ability, I have come to the conclusion that I am actually underpaying!!! I can throw a ridiculous amount of money into bettering another Scx 10 piece by piece or try to braze one up. But from what I have seen with my friends rig , if you set it up right the first time the extra expenses disappear.

Interest check!

I was thinking about doing this in 5/32 solid rod (instead of my common 8th inch).

So any interest?

Full chassis or something that would bolt onto scx10 or tf2?

Not sure when I will start it, but thinking about making some Ftoys. Also I still have one Taco Time V2 chassis left.

Chances are it will be a month or two before I can get to the next batch, with the holidays coming around I take on a holiday job on top of everything else and stay pretty busy with the family.

Full ladder frame chassis welded to the cage, the same way I build them all.

Edit: Currently no chassis' available.

Word would be correct.

No photos yet, I am still in the drawing phase. All I can say is it will be different, but still "real life scale" with influences of design coming from several different buggies... It will in the end still probably look like some type of Toyota buggy though, I can't help it.

I am finishing up a couple of other custom projects first then I will get on these. Probably a couple weeks out though.

Looking for a new 1.9 rig

Do you have any picture of the new idea yet?

Looking for something along the line of taco time, the zuk or the styling one.

Thanks

Hey Ty,

Do you have more photos of this chassis? I have a trail ranger body and looking for some inspiration? I found the thread of the guy you made the chassis for but he doesn't have many pictures. Thanks
