Just to let you know I got a set of the Axial HD gears today. Tried it on the original locker I got and one side fits nice and snug. ( opposite side it goes on) and the other side that the gear is suppose to go on it doesn't fit. The shaft is to big.

The gears drill out pretty easily using a carbide bur.

Sounds good. Before I do that I will wait to get my new locker first. See how it fits on that one.

these are normalized (about C25) but for an extra $200 i'll heat treat and finish grind a set for you . also this is highly debatable but at C55 there is not much give and harder isn't always better... just more brittle.

yes these are stock shaft size. you are a rare breed my friend. i need to get ahead of orders for the ones that fit stock shafts before i move onto the heavier options for the 5% of you that keep carbide drill bits stocked next to the lathe in your garage

Can I assume the spool will NOT work with Wraith axle internals?

its my understanding the gear sets are the same. but no, this is not intended to work with a solid front axle.

I don't see any reason why it wouldn't. The Blue monkey kit can use all the stock bumper mounts, so shouldnt be any issue. I can't tell if it has the same holes for the lower lights, as some people use those to tie the bumper to the lower skid for extra strength.

x2 but difficult to say for sure. the front skid is not a structural piece so not necessary if you want to use another bumper.

the next batch of 300m spools will be going into production tomorrow. i plan to make (4) with 6mm, .236" shafts. please SPEAK UP if you want a set of 6mm spools or you will have to wait until the next production run.

i still have a few 4340/4140 blemished spools left (2 extra "speed holes"). $15 each.
