have you tried flipping the tray and mount the servo winch on the underside of the tray? that should work in theory as long as you can get the hood back on.

Spools:

after sitting down and doing some research i think i finally got my head around how to sell these spools:

5mm spool long: works with Traxxas scale CVDs pn #TRA6851R and MIP MIP X-Duty Traxxas kit MIP11110.

5mm spool stubby:
works with custom built CVDs consisting of pn #MIP10133 plus a set of long bones and hardware from SCX10, Wraith, etc. (these are very common) male pn# MIP8110 and female bone #MIP8111

6mm spool long:
requires drilling your ring gear and drive hubs typically done in a lathe to ensure accuracy. works with Traxxas scale CVDs pn #TRA6851R and MIP MIP X-Duty Traxxas kit MIP11110.

in all cases when using the traxxas shafts, MIPs or other, we highly recommend machining this surface of the CVD axle as shown:

don't have the tools necessary to modify these parts or are too busy?

don't worry, we can help. email sales@bluemonkeyrc.com.

turnkey solutions (pre-machined kits) coming soon

BM/RC - matt !

side note !
MIP makes the same front stubby shaft with a keyed shaft (no pin hole)
part #MIP10133

I've broke a few front stubby shafts (with the hex pin hole) on my bad monkey rig.
changed to this stubby shaft in the front - haven't broke one yet !
this is a lot tougher shaft - with no thru hole - & is another good option !
but - it will still need to be modified !

now we have all kinds of drive shafts we can use now !!

I have tried, didn't work. The hood didn't clear and the k3 was hitting the front bumper supports. I will figure it out eventually.

there are a bunch of options . i'm a huge fan of the traxxas ones just because they look real.

i have a few of those MIP keyed axles i was planning on machining them to sell for this mod and offering a core charge for folks who already have them.

That's my experience as well. I keep the thru pin stubs for spares.

I hit lock to lock, but the outside tire could use a little more.

Hey Matt I'd like a set of those machined down keyed axles. If you could me down for a set of those whenever you start making those up please that would be awesome!

Spools are taking forever. Sorry I keep getting bumped for larger customers. The latest I heard was they will be starting 8/18 but i'm trying my best to improve on that.

Since I can't do much but bitch and wait, I got to thinking and was curious if you guys would like rear axle shafts to match the fronts?

it wouldn't be a big deal to make a few sets of 300m keyed rear shafts. I could do them offset and centered to fit aftermarket housings.

besides U4 scaleness, independent suspensions tend to perform better at higher speeds.

Hey guy, I just received my IFRS kit, and I gotta ask how hard was this thing to build, I'm about 60% done but I can't figure out where the cone washers go, or what the 2 extra aluminum spacers are for, they are the same size are the spacers for the bulkheads, any help guys, guys!?

Do you have any plans for making a 3mm shaft version? I could use some to lock my EXO transmission and use stock axial driveshafts
