| Re: IFS kit for Wraith Here is the electronics tray. I lost my "installed" pics so i will have to retake those. I don't have any pics of the locker yet but its basically a spool with extended shafts so you can run the new traxxas CV shafts below: (picture i found on google) these things are scale as hell, strong and clear everything like a glove. i have 20 spools fully machined and ready to ship once i get some pics and instructions. If you want to use MIPs... there will be some light machine work involved. i will post pictures and instructions for this as well. i'll also offer the machined parts as a option for those of you without immediate access to a lathe. I don't have an account with a traxxas dealer yet to offer the package but i will be offering the MIP version as a complete bolt-in package- shafts, spool, gears (everything). HOWEVER... MIPs... not like a glove. if you have aluminum knuckles and carriers get out your dremel. big shocks will rub, etc. i have been experimenting with lower control arms. both axial and traxxas and i think i have several good working prototypes. in the next few months we will offer aluminum arms with shock relocation to allow you to run MIPs and big shocks. |

i've got products that have been designed and tested for a year now that i have not added to the website. unfortunately "coming soon" is not in the cards at the moment. you guys will have to keep checking RCCrawler. hell i'm not even sure if my dinky website has that option. more details to come.

the first batch was 4140 alloy steel but honestly i think they could be made from 7075 aluminum i just didn't want to take the chance of breaking one on the first set.

That spool looks good! Trust me. Aluminum wont work. They will twist off. Last edited by frdtrkguy; 04-23-2014 at 12:18 PM. |

I agree, good choice, the 7075 would have atleast some failures.

On my ifs wraith I went thru an Allen wrench, some cold rolled steel, and now am using 5mm drill stock tool steel (which "fingers crossed" is still working great) Dna

Here is the prototype IFRS plate. Kits should be ready to ship in about 3 weeks if everything goes well. |

Wow, very cool. Might have to get another Wraith cage and so another build. You have some good stuff. Did you by chance fine the pic of the installed electronics tray? Last edited by Ballistic17; 04-25-2014 at 07:35 AM. |
