ok guys, you have seen the thread by madscrambler in the tlt section. Bodies are back. Here is the deal, this is the first run and they are limited in quanity. specs are: .040 lexan , little thin in some spots, just like HPI body. all body lines have been shaved and altered, no logos or grill bars to protect the potential " you know who". So with that being said, you get a full window mask and sticker kit with them. I have "3" good ones $55 shipped I have "4" blems, meaning they have a crinkle where they shouldn't, very minor on most. madscramblers red CJ is a blem, black one is good. Blems are $35 shipped with window masks and sticker kit too. PM me for paypal info. I only have 7 left, so hurry. Next Run will be soon, if I get enough interest and make a bunch, I can get the cost down too. PICS- good ones: ![]() ![]() painted good ones: ![]() ![]() ![]() painted blems: ![]() Last edited by Unimoger; 10-18-2006 at 10:36 AM.

I dont think you guys understand what a pain in the a** it is to have these made its not cheap when you only make them in counts of 45 or even 100 Im not in it for the money thats for sure I just love the "body" it works great on a comp rig or even a scale rig . So I want to pass it on to you guys . Thanks

Thanks dude, I'm looking forward to scoreing a few more in the future. I like the fact that these ones are thinner (better for a comp body) and smoother aswell

Got mine today. Overall good quality, impressive for a home brewed copy of a copy. Most of the famous CJ8 lines are still intact which is nice. I got one of the "good" bodies so there are very few blimishes and a few random creases here and there-expected those and they're totaly livable. I guess my only major gripe is that the body is amazingly thin, like .020 or less. I compared it to several .040 HPI bodys (Baja beetle, Bronco, Rubicon Cuda, and Charger) I have laying around, a on-road Escalade (.030?) and some old school bolink and parma bodies. I don't have anything thiner, the closest I got was the notoriously thin grill on the Rubicon body. My other (minor) gripe was that it came in a box with absolutely no packaging. Big no-no considering how thin the thing is. I got the pleasure of opening the box to a $55 body that had its' roof caved in. So work on the thickness (even a solid .040 would be nice) and package them better and you'll have a great product. My $.02

| Highmark, thanks for the .02 cents, we are making the 2nd batch right now. The lexan guy told us that the lexan was .040 to .050 before he pulled them, so yes they got alittle thin. The 2nd run is supposed to be .060, so we wil compare. Also the box and packaging was NOT done by me, it was done by the guy who pulled the bodies, so I will have a chat with him, again sorry for that and it will not happen on the next batch. Furthermore, Highmark, if you wish to have one of the 2nd batch, you are going to be credited for your defects on this one, meaning little to no cost to you. thanks for the cristisim, that is what helps us make these better the second go around.
