Default Sway bar Wraith/Universal

Universal sway bar system.

Comes with:
2- Carbon fiber adjustable sway bar arms
1- Torsion bar approx 4" in length
4- Traxxas rod ends (other rod ends may need to be used dending on your application and clearance issues)
1- 3mm threaded rod for the end links approx 4" in length

Sway bar will need to be modified to fit your specific application.

Frame mount is not included but some cars such as a Wraith, Twin Hammers etc,. already have them and can be used. If your car does not have a stock frame mount, you will need to fabricate one.

Why would you want this over an Axial or HR setup?
  • This sway bar actually works. Unlike the other brands, the torsion bar is engineered for maximum performance. Anybody who has owned the other brands can tell you that they dont come close to working out of the box.
  • The sway bar arms have adjustable holes. This is important to get the exact feel youre looking for. We are not all the same and we all dont need just one hole and one size bar.
  • Made from carbon fiber goodness so you can show off that bling.

Please see my website under Wraith or Universal for the price on this product.

To install this product on your car, you will first need a frame/chassis mount. Some cars come stock with a frame mount and its perfectly fine to use those. If you do not have a frame mount, you will need to make one. Its not hard but you will need to be creative. If you have the room, you can simply drill holes in a carbon fiber chassis.

Here is one I made for my sporty:

Next, you will need to measure how wide you need the torsion bar to be. You can cut this with a pair of side cutters/wire cutters pretty easily.

Once the torsion bar is cut to width, then you will need to grind some flat spots on them. This is where the set screws will ride and hold the torsion bar.

Now you can mount the bar and arms on the chassis.

All you need to do now is mount the rod ends on the axle and the rod ends on the sway bar. You will want to cut your threaded rod so that ideally, the arms are flat to the ground with the suspension at half travel.

You will want to try and make everything as straight as possible. You dont want your end links coming off the axle and into the arms at an angle either vertically or horizontally. Nice straight lines.

Some simple sway bar tech. I will add more as I think about it.

You want the arms level to the ground when the suspension is at half travel. This makes the sway bar as effective as possible throughout the travel.

The longer the torsion bar, the softer the setup will feel.

The wider the axle mounts are, the stiffer the setup will feel.

The closer you put the end links out on the sway bar, the softer it will feel.

The further you put the end links out on the sway bar, the stiffer it will feel.

Right now, I am including a .062 diameter bar. This bar has worked on all the vehicles we have tried so far. There is a slight chance you may want a stiffer bar. If so, all you need to do is drill the slug on the arm out and let me know to send a .078 diameter bar. That slight difference in diameter will make a HUGE difference. With all the adjustability in the sway bar arms, these should suit just about everybody.

Sorry, I am not familiar with the SCX chassis. There are a million ways to mount it though. Maybe somebody else could chime in?

Drill and extra hole or two? There are plenty of holes in the chassis. The ones for the rear bumper might work.

Well I think I'll pull the trigger and see what I can do to get it to work on a Wroncho style set up. I'll order it when I get a chance to set down at my cpu and order. My phone hates paypal.

The SCX JK & g6 bumper brackets have integrated sway bar mounts already

AX80125 is the front and AX80126 is the rear. Only the PS style bumpers fit though, so no Singo or Honho.

Here is a pic of the JK front bumper bracket. You can see the two little tabs on the bottom for the swag bar. The rear looks the same.

Here's how I mounted mine to the SCX Chassis. Just used the pre existing holes on the chassis and made tubes as guides in the front and I made some bolt on tabs in the back. Sorry it's not Erik_D_lux sway bar but I like his over the axial or HR ones. Hope this helps! Good luck, I love having one for bashing.

Pretty easy to set up on a Stock Axial jeep.
Used the holes in the stock bumper. Made some spacers from antenna tubing and 2 stock XR10 steering turnbuckles. Drilled some holes into the 4 link mount for bottom links. Looks great on there too!
Made the torque twist go away. Climbs much better!!
