I have aluminum in stock, but I am working on a slight revision to this design, so if you would like a set in steel, I can order the new version for you. If you still want a set of the current version, I can do that too. Send me a PM and we can figure that out.

Now available: New and improved Karnage SSR V2 Scale Competition Chassis Rails.

The Karnage SSR Chassis is a competition upgrade chassis rail for the Axial SCX10.
  • Increased axle clearance for more suspension travel
  • Improved upper link geometry provides more tuning options and increased performance
  • Built in shock towers - increased durability and placement options
  • Maintain your existing bumper mounts and location
  • Also compatible with the Wraith and Spawn Tube Chassis - turn your Wraith into a SORCCA Class 2 legal rig

Choose from two different materials:
  • Steel - 0.09" (a little thicker than 12 gauge) - Strong and weldable for custom builders
  • Aluminum - 0.125" - Lighter than steel, yet remains strong
(parts are shipped raw - unpainted)

Compared to V1, this chassis has more clearance at the skid plate (V1 in red, V2 in silver):

...and much more clearance compared to the stock frame rails:

Very nice update. That's one thing I really noticed with my V1 and with it being aluminum is I was snagging on the chassis a lot. As you can see the knurled material in the pic.

That is exactly why the update was done. Thank you for the picture!

The V2 should allow better break over and better transition from the links to the skid, etc.

Funny thing though I'm getting a chassis cut this week to address that issue. I feel it's much better to have a link dragging because you can at least apply torque to it.

Still probably pick one these up for another project I have in the works.

What about the wraith cage adapters? I'm looking to build a class two rig using a wraith cage. I like this chassis.

I really like this chassis. I just wish the shock hoops, especially the rear, were removable.

Wraith adapters will be added to the site by tonight. I'll post a link to them here once those are up.

I had considered offering a version without the shock towers as an option, but with some quick Dremel work, they can be removed. If demand is big enough, I might offer that version.

Thanks! I'm excited to get this out there and hear the feedback from everyone on the increased clearance.

SSR Wraith Adapters - JC Auto Design

Adapters now added to the site!

I'm working on the instructions and hardware information over this weekend, so keep an eye out for that soon.

I have also added them to the Karnage SSR Chassis page as additional options in the drop down box before you add them to your cart.

Please post up any questions.

Here is a couple of pics that show the frame dragging that the new chassis is addressing. Mind you I only have about 14 hours on it since I painted the chassis.

Just received my karnage chassis, and it looks good. I will start a build thread in a few weeks once some more parts arrive. New f9 curries going under this one, with a wraith cage on top.
