| Cbe rc fab ' s yeti-x CBE RC FAB PROUDLY ANNOUNCES THE YETI-X CONVERSION... WHAT IS THE YETI-X? This conversion kit that addresses the reliability of the yeti front end. For people who like to drive they're yeti beyond the limits of its stock form, this kit will allow you to do so. When you think of the longest lasting basher on the market, that can handle a considerable amount of abuse the Traxxas Slash is the first to come to mind for most people. by integrating the front of a slash 4x4 into the existing Yeti platform it takes the vehicle to another level of reliability. Topped off with a 14 gauge steel skid plate on bottom and a 14 gauge reinforcement plate on top of the steering the front end is left with very little room for movement. WHY THE YETI-X? The Yeti is a lot of fun. so much fun that most people drive it beyond its limits. for the people who like to do this and are tired of upgrading and replacing parts, it is easier to take an existing platform that is known for reliability and integrate it into the Yeti chassis. The Traxxas Slash has been known as a vehicle that can be beat on continually and still function. An added bonus is the availability of Traxxas parts at most local hobby stores. If you do break something it is nice to be back on the road quick. All around the slash is built for durability especially on the front end. by eliminating weak points on the Yeti, such as the small knuckles and hubs as well as eliminating the gap in the arm pins the YETI-X conversion will bring you hours of enjoyment. THE TECH: Traxxas slash 4x4 front end swap. Yeti steering stays in place. Yeti chassis and traxxas bulkhead altered. New chromoly extended output shaft installed. Batwing on yeti altered and 14Ga plate installed. Transmission spacers added for clearance. 14Ga steel skid plate added to underside of chassis. Add your own Slash 4x4 front end with the provided hardware. Bash on your yeti for hours! YETI-X KIT: $99 CBE custom YETI-X skid plate CBE YETI-X batwing plate CBE chromoly output shaft sTAINLESS hardware Traxxas ball cup YETI-X RTR: $650 complete minus batteries https://youtu.be/mcV-8EPcMIg Last edited by TRABNESI; 06-01-2016 at 11:07 AM. |

How different are the ring/pinion ratios, front to rear, or are you using slash gears front/rear?

Actually that's the awesome parts... the front when mounted to the shock tower makes it to where the cage flips open completely. Will post pics tomorrow Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk |

Between stage 2 and 3, what specific parts are needed and/or left over? As in, what parts are needed to complete stage 2, and what parts are left over from the slash front end when stage 3 is done? Thanks |

So, I have a bone stock Yeti right out of the box. What's the benefit to going with the stage 3 kit over taking that same dollar amount and putting it into the stock yeti front end with upgrades? I'm just looking at if I go with the stage 3, I still have a stock front end (slash of course) and I'm having to run a 2.5 wheel instead of the 2.2 beadlocks and tsl's I'm wanting to run. Not downing the kit at all so I'm hoping it's not coming across that way, just wanna make sure funds are going where they need tok as they are limited haha. |

Again, not questioning anything, just new to RC and want to make best bang for my bucks when upgrading. Now if I could do the Stage 3 kit, have the 2.2's work, and be done and have the main weak points taken care of then I can definitely see it as feasible. But if I do the stage 3 and then still have problems with front end and still need to upgrade on top of that then I may just upgrade the current front end with all new parts. NOW, seeing that my LHS stocks just about all the Traxxas parts I could ever need, this is something that may sway me to go Stage 3 as well. I'll keep an eye out and if the 2.2's can be worked with the kit, this may just be the way I go in the long run. I do appreciate all the time and effort that goes into R&D for kits and projects like this and maybe that's some of the eye catcher for me as well lol. | |

| Re: Cbe rc fab ' s yeti-x The YETI-X is now U4RC legal. And 725 hubs on certain 2.2 wheels work so no more needing custom wheels. |

After putting one of these through it's paces at Crawlapalooza this last weekend, I have to say I'm thoroughly impressed. Handled everthing I threw at it and just kept on going. Yeah, I blew the hill climb but sometimes too much power and a heavy finger do that. Several YetiX conversion rigs onhand |
