Default The NEW "AMX" Chassis BY Barry's R/C Carbon

The New "AMX" 2.2 MOD Chassis!

This is the New!!! "AMX" Chassis designed, sold by BarryBelvedere. I wanted a light weight chassis for myself that takes all the great ideas and combines them into one. When you look at the "AMX" you realize it is sorta "ALL MAKES COMBINED" Just like AMC used to do! Just like the old AMC Cars...Either you love em' or hate em'. After testing and tuning this rig at ECC I realized it works awesome. It is the most predictable and capable chassis I have ever used. East Coast Challenge was the first time Comping with it. It got me third place on its first run! After alot of good feed back by other competitors I decided to just start making more of these.

The AMX is Now a CNC cut chassis!!!

Dimensions= 8 1/16" long x 3" wide (Rear chassis width is adjustable to make it a min of 3") x 3 3/16" tall. Lower link center of eye to eye from front to back is 40mm.

Chassis weight= 75 grams.

[FONT="Arial Black"][CENTER][SIZE="5"][COLOR="Magenta"] For $130.00 shipped in the U.S.A. International shipping extra. This chassis includes....1 complete chassis like what you see in the pics. (Rod end balls not included) You must specify if it is for an Xr10, Bully2 or Berg. I also Make the Titanium links for 100.00 more when purscasing a chassis. There is a complete build thread for this chassis in the XR-10 section.

If you are wanting to update your 2.2 MOD rig and currently running a T1E or Y-Town chassis this chassis utilizes your current links, All you may have to do is adjust or change out a few rod ends to use the AMX.

The "AMX" chassis looks great Barry and it's very reasonably priced just a little more than a set of a set of three piece CF wheels. I also know how well it works having seen yours in action recently. it checks all the right boxes and makes a very nice addition to your Barry's Carbon product line.

After running my AMX at The NENC.... I did make it into the finals..And again I had to go first I like it even more it works great I do need to tune the shocks a bit more so it does not try to lift the left front tire when going Vertical and turning left. Also I was being extra rough with it to discover a weakness. On the cab I will be adding a 45 degree gusset or rounding off the window openings from now on to make the roof a smidgen more durable. I worry it will effect the look of it. It took a lot more abuse than i figured it would to make it break but i was being a maniac, leaping at full speed 10 feet into the air and landing ON the roof. The first two chassis were made from 1.5mm thick carbon. I am going to use 2mm from now on also. It is tricky to make it as light as possible w/o sacrificing durability. As it is.... it is fine but if you are not advancing you are going backwards. Also I am going to Make a PurpMart Edition which will have all purple aluminum screws. Only a hand full will be made.

Barry Belvedere is a club member of mine I get to see his AMX XR10 run every couple of weeks and it is defiantly a well thought out design and extremely capable. My two favorite details are the reverse curved skid and narrow front upper shock mounting location giving it give a little bit more room for tire clearance at full lock. The quality is first rate it also has a distinctive look with that narrow front end. How he can sell them at that price is "Barry" attractive no question.

Looks great Barry! If it's cut by Robbob, I'm sure it's quality. Can't wait to see it in person.
