Ultra light and strong 1/8" carbon fiber
Clearance for maximum suspension travel
Can be set up to run 3.5" or 4" shocks
Includes rear shock mount extenders for running rear trailing arms
Includes carbon chassis brace/servo winch mount
Works with stock bumpers and sliders, and most(if not all) aftermarket pieces.

RECON certified for 2015-2016
The prototype Undercover Agent completed a scorching 22 laps in this year's RECON "The Fix" 12hr G6...The chassis and suspension setup worked beautifully and were good enough for a BIG margin of victory over 2nd place.

Would the VP CMS mount bolt up to your chassis?

Looks awesome and I like your stuff, especially your U4 stuff.

But how is this not considered TVP? Confirmed SORRCA legal?

I believe its not a tvp due to being full length chassis and not just a small center section like the ax10

jake ran this chassis at the 2016 scale nationals so I would want to think its legal

Re: Y-Town Undercover Agent Scale chassis

The SORRCA rules committee has traditionally been pretty relaxed on what constitutes a "rail chassis". There is also a long precedent of allowing rail chassis with drop frames, like the Reign K2 chassis, RCBro's burly conversion, ect. One of these also ran at Nationals and no one had any issues with it. "thumbsup"

Jake, any chance you could design this with a single rail so it looks more like a scale chassis? Unfortunately SORRCA will be cracking down on TVP looking chassis in the future. I know you have good intentions, so I figured I'd give you a heads up.

Sad to see when you clean up a comp that it has to be the chassis...... lame. Rules rules rules. No wonder the comp scene is dead. So when some 10 yr old kid shows up with his super sick ytown scaler ,he cant run cuz it dosnt meet a rule... juuuuunnnnkkkkk...

I purchased mine with a little design tweak. With another tweak it should be no questions asked legal.

I bought this chassis to run on my Class 2 rig guess I still won't get to compete. Oh well I will the drive the shit out of it because I love this chassis.

We are trying to do something before all these crazy, non scale looking chassis make scale comps go the way of regular comps. If designers would just stick to a scale looking products then we wouldn't feel the need to regulate regulate regulate.

Do you think this is scale looking in the least?

A single rail meaning separate shocks towers?

2003EDGE 06-19-2016 01:02 PM

Re: Y-Town Undercover Agent Scale chassis

No, the towers can be integrated. No extra frame extensions or multi piece frame rails. The machined out area that forms a brace of sorts is the questionable area on this one. But as stated, they will work with you on minor tweaks.

I appreciate the heads up "thumbsup" I agree with you on the scale rules, and I honestly didn't design the chassis with SORRCA competition in mind. I hope it doesn't come across that I'm trying to push comp technology into the scale competition realm. The UA is designed for all-around U4/trail/crawling performance more so then a specific set of scale comp rules.

Would a similar shape without the cutouts in the side rail be legal? Do you think that there will be any material restrictions in the future also? I have steel and aluminum chassis available now along with the carbon one to hopefully cover all the bases.
