| The SW3 chassis is the end result of almost 2 years of testing. The original SW chassis won it's first comp completely untested, which also went on to win several Colorado comps in it's first year. The next step was the SW2 which has won countless comps around the world. I won the 2.2 class in the 2006 Colorado Winter Series with an SW2. I also won the 2.2 Class at the 2006 USRCCA Nationals in Moab, Utah with an SW2. The SW3 is the latest version of the original and by far the most capable/comp specific. The SW3 chassis recently dominated the Colorado and Nor-Cal Winter Series, winning 5 out of 6 events in Colorado. The SW3 chassis is a great platform for a hardore comp crawler using TLT, AX10 or Wheely King axles. All SW2 and SW3 chassis' are CNC machined. I also only use 6061 aircraft aluminum for the chassis', which is extremely durable. Click here for Video of the SW3 Chassis in Action Click here for the Prototype SW3 Build with TLT axles Click here for another SW3 build with TLT axles Click here for SW3 build with AX10 axles and tranny Pricing will be $90 for an SW3 with link mounts shipped to you, your choice of silver brushed finish or black anodize. The SW3 without link mounts will be $65 shipped, your choice of silver or black. PM me for Paypal info, please include in the notes which color you want. Thanks. | For those on the fence about buying one you will not be let down. Brad's work is top notch and the chassis itself works flawlessly. In fact I have not changed the way it is set up (besides weight in tires) since it was built last year Oh, it also passes the Colorado "drive it off a cliff and see what breaks" test |

If the 3 is half as popular as the duece, you'll have a hell of a success on your hands! Congrats and good luck!

does the 3 use the same length upper and lower links as the 2? and also, i am assuming that the 2's link/servo mounts will still work with this one, as well?

The only difference between the SW2 and SW3 is the lower link length. The SW3's lowers need to be a 1/4" shorter then the SW2's, to be comp legal. The SW2's link mounts will work fine with the SW3, they are the same.

I got a little curious this morning as to how much the SW3 plates and skid plate weigh. Ended up doing a little comparison of weight too. The chassis plates and skid are almost as light as my heavily hacked bug body, and the finished chassis plates end up weighing less then a 1/4 the weight of the raw blanks.

hmmmmm, that skid plate looks AWFULLY familiar.... if it is the same skid from the 2 is there any chance of just a side plate upgrade for us loyal customers that already own a 2? i am/was planning on making my own TVP chassis from 2" x 1/8" steel bar, but the more i read this thread, the more i'm starting to say, "screw it, i might just get an SW3 this payday..."
