What do you guys think about the new F-150. I am not sure if I like it or not, I'll have to wait till I see it for real http://www.fordvehicles.com/2009f150/

freetimecrawler 01-13-2008 04:43 PM

I like it. Of course I'd rather push a Ford then drive a Chevy or Dodge
I like the locking diff too, now they just need to add 1 to the front axle.

Harley 01-13-2008 04:49 PM

I am not a ford guy at all, but that looks great.

Wrecker 01-13-2008 04:54 PM

Dang, that looks pretty good. It's a mini superduty."thumbsup"

dezfan 01-13-2008 05:01 PM

Not bad, I can definitely see the new GM influences.

Still looks better than the Tundra.

DeaDShorT 01-13-2008 05:05 PM

"thumbsup" But where's the smaller TD we've been hearing rumors of for the last, what...almost 5 years:roll:

slobin3d 01-13-2008 05:13 PM

I like it, I dunno if its the color, but it reminds me alot of fords older trucks. I'll get one Some time in 2015 or so:lol:"thumbsup"

rockin92xj 01-13-2008 05:27 PM

You realize that Dodge and the US automakers are the ones who created the Mini-Van which soccer moms drive, not trucks or SUV's.

Also I think the Ridgline is a better looking truck than this truck. I will say Ford is more about copying the Chevy line of styling anymore...

420ZIP 01-13-2008 06:50 PM

I think it looks bad a$$, nice sharp lines."thumbsup"

So how is it copying the Chevy line?
It looks more like a Super Duty, of which the new Chevy/Gmc copied the lines.
Say what you want, but do you know whats been the best selling vehicle, car or truck, for the last 30 years?

Around here all the socceer moms are driving 3/4 and 1 ton deisels. There are a lot more trucks being sold these days than SUVs or Minivans.

John Deere 01-13-2008 07:54 PM

Around here there are a few moms driving suvs and vans. For the most part trucks though. This one lady I see all the time drives a 4 door 250 gas burner lifted sky high and her husband drives a roush mustang.

Apparently you line needs to be restated as it is incorrect.

Quoted from Forbes Magazine:
Rather, it's been the country's best-selling pickup for 30 years, and the best-selling vehicle in the U.S. for 26 of those.

Only 26 times has it been OVERALL best in the past 30 years. Trucks it might have been longer, but you know GM and Dodge need to make vehicles that break down as much as a Ford, then they could increase their sales.

2JSC 01-13-2008 08:30 PM

I still prefer a new Dodge Ram.

I'm not really biased on Ford or GM. GM Auto techs actually make more money than ford techs because GMs are extremely hard to work on. Ford builds trucks that are much better than the competitors.

Any GM above 1985 will be a b!tch to work on.

Like I said, I can see the GM influence.

I stand corrected, lol, gee "only" 26 years for all vehicles car or truck in the USA, and 30 years for trucks in the USA. The USA is the largest single auto market in the world though :flipoff:

I guess I'm missing your logic here. If Fords break down so much, why do people keep buying them?
Around here I see Chevy's and Dodges towing boats and snowmobiles on the weekends, and usually some stuffed shirt going to and from the office during the week. I see Fords towing Bobcats and work trailers all week, and the boats/snowmobiles on the weekends.
