| Durable foam for indoor coarse
Read this discription on the 16LB foam "Common Applications: This 16LB density foam is essentially as hard as a rock, you would need a hammer in order to make any dents in this product. Can be used for sculpting or the casting of objects that require superior toughness and strength." http://www.shopmaninc.com/foam.html Sounds like you wouldn't have to coat it with anything else. |

Would definitely require a frame work, otherwise a single obstacle could cost you $500+

I've used the spray faom with decent results. The price isn't bad 8 cubic feet for $50 that more then enough foam for a course if you use fillers Old milk jugs ect.

40 cubic feet would cover a 4x8 sheet of plywood, with a thickness of 15 inches. Still expensive, but its not terrible. The $60 kit could be turned into a 3'x3' test section at 10.5 inches thick, if someone wanted to give this stuff a try.

Ohh I was looking at the light weight stuff.... I see they have heavier foams at the bottom and its not cheap.... $231 gets you 5 cubic feet, I would rather haul rocks around.
