Default Thieves!

I ordered some 40 series moabs from holmes hobbies, I had them delivered to my apartment complex. I was tracking them, noticed they were delivered USPS. I check my mail, and there is a key to the oversized package lockbox. I then go to the lockbox, and I noticed the door has been pryed open, and its empty. As with the other one above it. So I called the post office, and they said since insurance was not put on the item, nothing can be done. So basically somebody has my 40 series moabs and probably don't know what they are good for. Anything you ship, put insurance on it, its cheap, and if they payed with paypal, it prevents you from being charged back because you can file a claim with USPS,FedEx,or UPS. And get a full refund.

This is crap!. I was looking forward to them.

OH, so those were your 40s, thanks, I like em!

JK, I'm in PA. What is the point of a lock box if it and be pried open? That sucks.

they must have been watching the USPS guy put it in the lock box. Stupid punk probably thought it was stereo eq or something. Would rather it be my wife's knitting books! ha! that would serve them right! At least you could maybe sell the tires for drugs...

My sister-in-law's car was broken into, and all they got were all her crappy mid 90's country CD's! ha!!!

That sucks.

No video surveillance videos of the approx time the USPS guy stopped by and delivered it? Unless the boxes are outside the building vs being in the main hallway as you walk in.

This would be one reason why I don't live in an apartment complex. My neighbour's on one side of me are retired and visit Florida 3 months out of the year and my other neighbour is a single mom with two young grade school kids. Not much theft in my lil hood... heh.

That sucks! I am always worried about stuff getting left on my front porch.

I would contact the manager of the apartment you live in to see if you can get some compensation for their shoddy mail boxes.

With FedEx the first $100 is free.
It does not matter if I am shipping a $10 box of easter candy to my cousins back east. Declared value? $100.
FedEx will also refund your money if the package is late and it is their fault.

I have a fiend that got tired of his car getting broken into by the crack/meth heads. He got a small vile, the kind people use to carry thier coke. He put cyanide/rat poison in it, then put in in the ash tray. Next time his car got hit, the vile was gone. They must of got really high that night.
