We need the death penalty in Hawaii!!

I go back and forth on the death penalty. The things done by these people are absolutely horrible, but in what way does revenge solve the problem? It's a difficult problem for me, because you can't ever let someone like that out of prison, so from a purely economic standpoint, the death penalty is the best choice. But I still can't figure out how it's ok for society or the government to take a life, but it's wrong for an individual to do it. I just can't follow the logic of it. I won't dispute that killers deserve punishment, I just can't justify this eye for an eye system. My brain doesn't handle inconsistencies in rules well, and never has.

Nobody is guaranteed to live another day, why the saying goes, “live every day like your last”. Some die for various reasons; natural causes, medical issues, etc, homicide, suicide, and accident to name a few. One thing I never understood is people go to church, very spiritual yet when something happens people scream and run like a chicken with its head cut off lol. You would think people would welcome death to be with Jesus Christ who they love so much. When people get executed they were going to die one day anyway. My view of the death penalty is extremely philosophical, and it has changed a lot after reading many articles and essays on the death penalty, go to this site to read it yourself. No man in my generation lives past 55, therefore, I most likely wnt either. At the end, who cares it is death we will all experience it.
