Looks good. I was thinking about buying one to build a scale truck out of, with an x-trail chassis or something!!!

TCS has them listed for 290.00

Kinda like a Wheely King II ?

I think I'd still buy the kit version because of all the extra parts you get.

rctrucknut 01-26-2008 07:00 AM

looks like the same truck without all the green bling bling. LOL cant believe theyd would back down &use all plastic parts. prolly sell a million of them thou.

Well, their's also a lot of different parts. Here's the list:

-Gearing changed to use a 20-tooth pinion (14-tooth pinion was included in the kit, not included with the RTR) for increased top speeds
- Truck includes a 27-turn stock motor for good speed and plenty of torque.
- Molded plastic links used throughout.
- Molded plastic straight axles replace knuckle-style design, which used turnbuckles. This is a much sleeker design to prevent from getting hung on rocks.
- Adjustable slipper clutch included.
- Front differential and rear locker

It look to me that they try to make it more of a basher truck than a comp rig...

Rear straight axle might be a good thing tough...

Well guys, I work at a hobby shop so my opinion on this truck is that it will probably get alot more people interested in crawling without them having get a full blown crawler to start out with.

This is probably a good thing for this style of the hobby and for RCC.

You think the AX10 forum is a wreck NOW?

Wait til April

Exactly, judging that its setup as basher and not crawler. We are going to hear a lot of repeat stuff on locking diffs, motors and gearing.

gadge 01-27-2008 06:37 AM

straight axle..did i hear someone say straight axle...sign me up for like 3 or 4...will they be available seperate as an assembly like existing ones?
2pc axle i hope..not 4 1pc wishfull thinking
so i guess the molds are a done deal already...knuckles wo/2nd hole would be great!...3rd link mount also

how bout a pro kit?...bent links/alum shocks/soft tires/bat-servo mt/soft springs/straight axle/
