Magic the gathering??

I have a large lot of cards from series 1-3 from the early 90's are they worth anything??

I haven't touched these things in 10 years

You're willing to admit that here?

You might find somebody willing to take 'em off your hands, but there's a lot more sellers than buyers.

It depends on the condition and rarity of the cards. How many is a "large lot"? A couple hundred won't net you much unless they are very choice cards.

I sold a collection of a couple thousand (all mint/nearmint, with a load of rare/very sought-after cards) for $500.

Go to your local bookstore or comic book shop and try and find a magazine that will list the prices for the cards you've got. Or find a third party that will give you a stright-up estimate - I'd be wary of unscrupulous comic book store owners that might try and rip you off.

they are all cards from the first 3 years the game was around, theres probably 800-1000 of them. Most are common, I think at least 1 of each color is semi rare.
