This kinda stuff is the very reason I will do RC crawling instead of 1:1 scale. I like to take my Fullsize Blazer off-road, but would rather break something on a RC. Parts for real Blazer's are'nt cheap..

One time I drove 12 hours to Missouri to crawl with BD. When I got to his house his wife told me he drove 12 hours to New Mexico to crawl with me! I felt like a retard! So I just stayed at his house for the weekend and hung out.

Well, its not to big of a deal (for me at least), but I managed to make two mistakes the other day... First, to lead into the story... Sunday I dislocated my knee (this is after 3 surgeries on the same knee), and really tore something up... Doc said to wear a brace, stay off of it, see how it is after a few days... Monday... I decide I want to go crawling, and the closest place is a nice park, grassy area, long rock piles with some challenging lines... My knee is already sore, and my leg started to itch. I decide to sit down for a sec and pull down my knee brace... I start looking at lines, and find the perfect one that goes up and over two of the taller rocks, then around, and under one of the rocks. I have a good view, so I just drive sitting down. Rolled off the first rock after not getting traction at a certain point. But it goes back, rubber side down. I go do it again, go over the first rock, get onto the second, and start to go under. I figure I have enough space to go under, so I go for it... But no, Instead of reversing out I keep creeping into the "cave," and hit the roof on the rock... Instead of getting off the trigger, I give it more, hoping it'll just get outta of there. But No. Instead I hear a few snaps, and suddenly I only have front wheel drive. Soo... I get up. Limp over to my rig, hop on a rock awkwardly, and bam. I'm on the floor with my knee out of place. Worst Feeling ever (Next to breaking vertebra). So Now, I have a stuck truck, and busted knee, I'm laying in an empty park, and I dont have my phone. I sit there for a bit, put the brace on, and come back home... Yeah, Long Story that could of been shorter... Oh, and I still don't completely know what I did to the crawler... I know I snapped the end of the driveshaft, and my wheels no longer spin "together.." (Not to mention if I spin the good end of the driveshaft, nothing wants to move.. Pictures: Still in a good Spot: ![]() Beginning of the End.. (Spektrum Servo is only temp..)

Ouch. Yeah, I would of worn safety glasses... As unmanly as some say it is, or how goofy it may be, safety comes first... Even when changing tires on Motorcycles I wear safety glasses (now). About a year and a half ago, I was changing one of my tires, and a piece of rim shot up, and hit me right next to the eye... Got my attention. Oh, and I think you win.
