|  KING OF THE HAMMERS: the ultimate rock race.....
was going threw some old bathroom reading material (Crawl july/august 2007) and came across an event called "King of the Hammers" and low and behold the event date was February 21-22 2008  just a few days away.heres a quick exert. Dave and Jeff Knowl partner up for the King of all rock races. The King of hammers will be a 30-50 MILE course covering varied terrain for the ultimate test of man and machine. feature high speed open desert and seven of the origonal and legendary hammer trails. to be sure the course could be done 12 volunteers attempted it with the fastest finishing time of 2 hours and 58 minutes on a 29 miles test course. Bart Dixon(SCORE racer) finished in 4 hours and 8 minutes.they give a website of www.kingofthehammers.com has s cool trailer vid, but sadly STILL under construction  and no info on the event :(

I've been up Jack Hammer and Sledge Hammer and I just don't see how a rock race is possible up there. Can't wait to see this.

Shannon started 43 overall and is now in 4th physically, but the guy in first just broke so he'll pass him no problem. They are working time right now and Shannon may be in first by time... |

Just in, Shannon through check 9 and although not physically in the lead, he is about a minute ahead on adjusted time. Go Shannon!  |
