| Civic forums? Any with out the retarted ricers?
I just bought a 93 civic with a mini frank engin? Its an 1.5 with a 1.6 head on it got the msd junk and all that. I am looking for a bord with out the retarted kids with the 15 foot wings and all that. Also I need help with the lingo with these little boogers. I have no ideal what a spoon engin is? b16? I know that is the engins what witch has witch? Also I got 2 extra engines with my civic a Acura Integra LS and another stock 93 civic. Is it possible to stick one in a older civic say an 91? Any way I love my little rice burner goes purty good for what it is I got to 90 (was't pushin to hard) I had to work my ass off for the 1900 to buy it and dont wanna blow it up in 2 days of havein it. The best thing about it is the 40 sumum mpgs I filled it up whene I bought it(ohio) and still have more than a 1/4 tank and I live in ky. |

A "Spoon engine" is a performance engine built by Spoon Sports who is a race team that originated in Japan and has been modifying Hondas ever since. A "B16" is a Honda B-Series motor, with 16 telling you it is a 1.6L. I don't know of any good forums as I quit messing with imports back in high school. But for sure, anywhere you go, you'll find retards. Good luck. |

Pretty much owning a ricer and going on any board will bring in your typical "RICER" crowd. Sadly the questions you have put you in the typical "RICER" crowd. All those questions are easily answered by just typing into Google.com yet instead you find it somehow useful to post in a RC Crawler forum.

You've got a mini me engine. d15 block with a d16 vtec head. I vist clubeg6.com alot. Ive got a 93 hatch. The LS is a b18 non vtec, Id stick that in there with a mild turbo. Dont worry about blowing it up, its a honda. Mines got 220K+ and I bounce it off the rev limiter daily Got a B18c ready to go in soon though. |

There are also a few other smaller forums that fill special niches. Like turbod16.com and k20a.org Just do some research and it will come to you. It's a waste of money. All it is a factory long block with cams and a yellow valve cover. A B16a is a 1.6L dohc vtec engine found in civic si coupe and delsol vtec. In Japan the b16a was an engine option for the crx, civic and delsol usually the models labeled as SiR. There is also the b16b that came in the first civic type r. Most american civic's came d series engines. I the best ones (imo) being the d16z6 or d16y8 (1.6L sohc vtec) Yes swap that LS motor into the older civic. It is not the greatest engine but it will make for a nice and peppy daily driver. <- Used to have a '92 Civic SiR (B16a) when I stationed in Japan moved back to to the U.S. I bought a '92 Civic Si (D16z6). I got out of the honda/import tuning scene due to the high amounts of BS and theft. Once a day someone will post on honda-tech about how there car got broken into or stolen. I drive a TRD Tacoma Prerunner now. Last edited by _BEN_; 03-05-2008 at 01:21 PM. | |

honda-tech is by far the best honda tuning site! of course there are retards on there though! what fun would a forum be without those guys? I'd sell both of those engines you got and go for a B18c or B16b or any VTEC "B" series of that sort! just remember you will need a trans and ecu and shift linkage and motor mounts. check out Hmotorsonline.com they have everything you would need to do the swap! I want to buy a 92-95 hatch but I see them get jacked so often from working at a honda dealership, that I will never own one. |
