Having coverage from all over is part of the plan but just putting it out that "we need photos/text of events" would create a problem. The idea of being able to send in photos and text sounds good but what happens when we get so much stuff coming in that we can't use it? Or when we get a bunch of images that we can't use? (I'm picky about images) At that point people start getting upset when their stuff isn't printed.

How about every issue just have a section dedicated to showing upcoming events/gtg's for each state. Like a date/location/club/conatc info deal. Then also do a page each month for all the major sanctioned comps (like state comps) and the top3 place holders.

Then if you feel necisary do coverage of a few comps, or just one. This wayall the clubs get exposure, and it would make people want to compete in bigger state wide comps so they can get in the mag.

Kinda like CRAWL mag. Do event coverage on certain events, some local gtg's (scale trail runs would rock), tech articles, new products, comps/clubs meetings, rc crawling news, readers rides, of course ads, an intro and a conclusion article. Just a basic 4wd mag setup in RC form.

maybe if you get good stuff in you can illustrate a perfect example of how to do photos/write-ups so you get quality. everyone has magazines laying around, R&T CandD, 4Wheel, etc, to look at and get a feel for good pictures and articles.

even RCDriver has readers rides with a ride of the month basically stating, this is how you should present a vehicle (especially scale) so not every shot looks like it was taken from a helicopter or a quarter mile away.

or maybe a tech article on how to take good pictures while out on the trail.

Yeah for the first issue do a section on "How to get your rig featured". I know petersons mag did it on one of their mags. Go through what your looking for exactly in submitted pics and articles and what you dont want to see.

I think doing a photo tech section every issue would be cool too. Just to show technique, equipment, trail cams, where/how to upload, reader submitted pics etc.

A magazine that involves its readers as much as possible makes the readers feel like theyre part of the mag and makes them come back.
