Here's emaxxjeremy's new dog, Augusta.  She was a stray that was in bad shape when we found her Friday. She was scared of all of us, was thin from neglect, and it was obvious that she'd been beaten. Jeremy was debating keeping her so when we were leaving I picked her up and put her in his lap in the truck. How she looked at the track...  He got back to the hotel, went to Wal-Mart and got a leash, collar, shampoo, and food for her. A flea/tick bath and she smelled much better but her breath smelled like she'd been eating week-old roadkill. After spending the weekend with us she came around. She followed Jeremy everywhere like a silent shadow. (Shadow wouldn't be a bad name for her) Here she's playing the part of E.T. in the hotel while Jeremy sneaks her outside.   Hanging out with me at the Scale get together.  Laying on the rocks while Jeremy drives. She had to keep him within eyesight all day Saturday and Sunday.  The happy couple.  |

What kind of chow is he feeding her? I would suggest the senoir food until she gains some weight back as it has a higher fat and protein content than normal stuff. It's a freakin shame people do these things to their pets.
