Default Tower has a new section...

...so it seems that Crawling is now mainstream. (unless I am a n00b and somebody already posted this)

Tower has a Crawler electric section now in their online catalogue...

I like how they put the word ELECTRIC in there.... like they are leaving the option open for NITRO.

Tower is a last resort for me, there are not many things that the vendors here can't get

Don't you know - it's the future of RC crawling as we know it!

X2.
Forget Tower, If my LHS doesn't have it, I turn here.
Homeboy is starting to carry RC4WD stuff though: Punishers, R2's, rear lockouts, C's, etc.

Tower is like the used car lot of R/C to me. If you absolutely can't find a part for a 78 Datsun you sure will there. Other than that it is a no go for me.

I guarantee that at some point somebody will start making a nitro crawler that actually works and from that point on all you'll see are nitro crawlers. Don't laugh, it will happen.

As for ordering from Tower. Why is it whenever a company becomes successful everyone likes to act like they're somehow evil to deal with? I guess Tower and Traxxas are the Microsofts of the R/C industry.

Personally I order from Tower whenever it is convenient to do so. If they have what I'm looking for and the price is decent (and it's something I can't get at the local mom and pop) then I go for it. Sometimes Tower overcharges for stuff, and in that case I don't buy from them. On the other hand I've had times where I made out great due to the tower codes. A few months ago one of the tower codes was $20 off a $50 order.

I just looked at 3 of my tower mags, none of the AX-10s are a svage with a betty body.

Wait? Tower sucks? So does Traxxas? What doesn't suck?

I normally order all my Micro RS4 parts from Tower. Their service is as good as it ever was. Probably should listen to Knoc though, if you have any questions feel free to PM him. He is like our leader, he just tells us what sucks and we stop buying it.

Well considering I order from Tower who has a base in Ill thats like 350 miles from me, takes a week and change to get here, versus Amain thats over 1200 miles away and gets here in 3-4 days and has lower prices and shipping.. Hmm... Tough decision...

And Either you dont know what a Ax10 is or a savage is but I just got the tower sales magazine a couple days ago and there "Ax10 Scorpion" has a pic of a savage with a betty body on it.. I can snap a pic of it if youd like..
You seem to fall right into the commercial "I do what RcCar action tells me to" plan dont ya? I also wouldnt expect you to understand my points considering Ive been in the hobby longer than you have been living and are a 15 year old "Know it all".. But you do what works for you, and Ill do what works best for me..

Anyway..

Towers service (customer support etc.) isnt so bad, but there shipping is rather slow. At least for me and my area. I personally would shop somewhere else if Im in a rush to get it. But if it works good for you, then might as well keep buying from them. Really my only beef with them is there slow shipping and how they have there shipping rates set up.
