| Took my X-Trail for a run up the creek today.
I got my X-Trail waterproofed this weekend, so I took it out for a swim. I had a great time playing in the water. Scaler+Water=FUN It was so wet out, the camera got fogged up some. I had to take the detour around the waterfalls. I got swallowed up. Here's a little vid of me trying to run across the ledge in the above pic. Man, is algae slippery. I landed upside down in about a foot of water. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=43hGhOKBOWg I can make it. |

Thanks guys. The pics were taken at Frick Park in Pittsburgh, PA. I used a $150 digital camera, the pics came out so well because the spot is just so scenic. This spot is a heck of a lot of fun to run scalers. It was well worth getting my boots all wet. I need to get some of the local guys down there to run with me, so I can get a little push up some of the waterfalls. I hope to get some decent video next time I'm down there. Steve |

We have a spot like that up here. We go crawling in it and it is pretty dangerous. I fell when I was trying to come back down.

| I put the cheap ESC and radio from an AX-10 RTR I have in it. It's got a 55 turn Integy motor, with Front Shock Set for the Evader. I know some people don't like the Evader shocks, but they work well for me. They give me pretty good flex. I'll be putting a Roster Crawl ESC in there at some point. Yeah, in the summer it dries up to a trickle. I was able to make it up or around a lot of the obstacles even with all the water, so once it dries out some, it should open up some more lines to run. It's a great spot, and it's only 5 minutes from my house. |

I got back down to this spot again, but this time I had some friends. I had a bad start to the day. I drove less than 3 feet and hit a stick that went up under my truck and ripped out a motor lead, and a spring for the brush. I was dead before the day even started. All was well, as I went home and made the repairs and was back up and running. A great time was had by all, next time I'll try to get some video. |
