Im in the septic/ haz-mat biz, the rule of thumb is "dilution is the solution" You wont hurt your good bacteria the soap will dilute it before it gets to the tank. Also laundry soap is one of the biggest problems in clogging up the leaching soil leading to premature failure.

| Not always... I went over seas, to country that I shall refrain from saying due to are out of country members, a couple of years ago and the out-houses were actually over the fish ponds! Yeah, they sounded like Piranna in a feeding frenzy when "it" hit the water. Some countries are allowed to use chemicals in aquaculture ponds that have been banned in the US for years because they have been proven to cause cancer but yet are govenment still allows those fish to be imported into the US without the same restrictions and guidelines. Just a little FYI Last edited by braceysdad; 06-25-2008 at 11:37 AM. |

Same as cow poop used to help grow food...You don't spray your fields with human poop. Just my thought |

could be fatal to the health and taste of the fish. The algae would be so thick in the nutrient rich water you would have oxygen depletion problems and some algae can make the fish off flavor. I personally would'nt eat fish out of a pond like you brought up for these reasons... But since you brought it up if i had to chose between human waste fertilized food and cattle waste fertilized food I go cow... I'm not much into recycling human waste to be used on anything but that's just me. I hear there are 2 girls with a cup that would beg to differ! Last edited by braceysdad; 06-25-2008 at 11:46 AM. | |
