Default Any septic men here???

I have a serious (even ignorant) question.

Will using "anti bacterial" soap(s) kill the microbes (rid-X type) I put in it every month?

Thanks for any insight!

just the weak ones.the small amount of germ killer. has no chance. i would be more worried about the pretty colored tp. giving you problems.

Muriatic Acid will kill the bacteria in your septic tank. You NEED those bacteria if you are on a septic tank. DO NOT use muriatic acid!

I don't, that's why I asked this question.
If the anti-bac. soaps would kill em off, I would go back to regular soap.

My barber told me to flush yeast down the toilet once a month. I guess that would really help with bacteria. I'd really like to know how to get the corn out of our leach lines.

Aerobic and anaerobic bacteria both will feed on yeast. Beer has yeast in it. Usually you would

only do that if it was a new system to feed your bacteria culture until it had enough waste to

substain itself. A septic system is essentially like a pond without the fish so most of the same

rules apply. As stated, the anti-bacterial soap is so minute that you would never see an

effect.

The only way to get the corn out of the leach lines is to stop eating it!
