| Any septic men here???
I have a serious (even ignorant) question. Will using "anti bacterial" soap(s) kill the microbes (rid-X type) I put in it every month? Thanks for any insight! |

just the weak ones.the small amount of germ killer. has no chance. i would be more worried about the pretty colored tp. giving you problems.

If the anti-bac. soaps would kill em off, I would go back to regular soap.

My barber told me to flush yeast down the toilet once a month. I guess that would really help with bacteria. I'd really like to know how to get the corn out of our leach lines.

only do that if it was a new system to feed your bacteria culture until it had enough waste to substain itself. A septic system is essentially like a pond without the fish so most of the same rules apply. As stated, the anti-bacterial soap is so minute that you would never see an effect. The only way to get the corn out of the leach lines is to stop eating it!
