One problem with UPS is they don't like to pay if you accept the package - go figure. So I don't accept any damaged packages, EVER!... but your dealling with the USPS so you might be better off.....

There is a great waterjet company 10 miles from my house that my work uses. They can laser cut and waterjet parts. There website is Fedtech.com You could email them and I am sure they can ship them out to you. They also have alot of stock material. And they can help find the cheapest way to make your parts. |

SAme thing happen to me , i purchased a chassis of a member here here is what it looked like when i recieved it: If you cant see it looks like some one at UPS stepped on it. Luckily Both I and the guy that sold me the chassis have solved the problem. Any body know any one that can fix the whole thing? It looks like the cab has to be cut off in rebuilt. It sucks too cause this was recently powder coated, so now i get to go and do that again becase all the powder coat got chipped. Last edited by xtman; 07-21-2005 at 09:14 PM. |

The worst part about receiving damaged parts is the time it takes to deal with it.

Ya, it sucks. I dont even know about how much this is gonna cost me. PLus your right i have to wait, wait, wait. Sandbalsting, shipping, fixing, shipping, sandblasting, then powder coating. Luckily it will give me time to save up some money to get it running.

from that view it doesn't look bad... just need to whack the top off and redo it... then whoever powdercoates it, will sandblast it all back down to bare metal anyway...besides powdercoat, looks like a couple hours to fix it
