I'm 31 and have owned; 1985 Lebaron GTS Turbo 5dr hatchback with the Sport/Handling 2 suspension package. Loved that car........god damned rust! Ended up scraping the car after 8 years. and still miss it. 1994 Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.0l/auto/Selec-Trac 'case. Wrecked twice in the 6 months I had it. First was a drunk driver in a tall 4wd F250 that put it in the shop, second was 5 days after getting it back from the shop after the last wreck. I pulled out in front of a guy running 70+ (by Dad's estimate, speed limit was 55mph) in a 2wd F-350 with a wide box on the back, nearly tore the front off that truck, injured Mom (who wasn't belted at the time), freaked out a family friend who's was a police cadet at the time (she had just lost another friend to a car wreck). Ended up going to work overnight that night since I couldn't sleep (still feel guilty about her injuries nearly 10 years later). 1988 Dodge Shadow ES Turbo Coupe, ran ok but not nearly as good as the GTS did. It survived a several animal strikes, but I nearly blew the motor (like if I hadn't gotten home when I did........) and gave it away to the president of the local Shelby Dodge club and I have no idea what happened to it since then. 1998 Cherokee Limited 4.0l/AW4/Selec-Trac Still driving that one. Next owners of this truck will either be my insurer or a junk yard. |
