www.emachineshop.com has software available.

You can even have them make the parts.

I don't think you will find too much that will let you do 3d work for a tube chassis.Even if you can find one,it would take alot of experience to be able to do it.Good luck.

I did a couple drawings on paper but dont really like them. 1-I changed the position of where the shocks mount (same design as the new team sinastir tube chassis), 1-Other tube chassis that doesnt look good to me and 1 plate chassi. And on the one that says TG on the middle, i might put the front shock mounts below the tube instead of on top.

Feel free to tell me what you think. Dont hold back.

Designing a tube frame (for an RC Car) in CAD is pretty pointless. It takes a lot of hours to do properly and the only thing you gain is suspension modeling capabilities and that is only if you have good software.

In short, don't waste your time. Also emachine shop won't do tuber type stuff.

For about $10,000 you can get Solidworks though.....

You would when you have the training and experience to use and and make a living off it. ;)

As an added bonus, that $10,000 can be written off as a business expense.

That is not true. You can export the line drawings from emachine shop to DXF. I have done it many many times.

Can't tell you what you are doing wrong with that vauge of a description. The problem is mostly likely you, may be trying to open the dxf with a program that is unable to open it.

Hard to say, but I have never had a single issue doing it.
