Everybody else on here seems to be sponsored.....how do you go about getting sponsorship? Not trying to brag but I have won quite a few comps, won the team-svsc summer points series championship and was invited to nationals.....I would think that should be a good enough resume for sponsorship of some kind but I am not sure how I should approach companies about the possibilities and considering I am going to build a new rig for the fall series I would like to incorporate products from my new sponsor ( If I get one that is ). any help would be appreciated

Make up some SOB story about how you are the best in your state, recieved an invite to the national competition but then your wife left, the dog died, and your house burned down and that you can no longer afford to go. Works like a charm!

I asked this question a few months ago and I wish I would have kept the PM that I recived. This is what I was told not word for word but you should get the point. First off never be a jerk online or at comps. Always be willing to help others online or at comps. Do very nice build threads with lots of info. Driving is important but you do not want a sponsor that only cares about you getting the win every time out. Go to as many big events as you can to get your name out. Make friends with as many vendors as you can and do not just call or e-mail when you need something. Be patient and sponsors will come to you and it never hurts to inquire about if certain vendors that have parts you would like to represent have open spots on there team. This works 2months ago I did not have a single sponsor and now look at my sig.

I think Joe nailed it. Sometimes driving has very little to do with it in all reality (with obvious exceptions). I have NEVER won a single comp, lots of 2nds and 3rds but not a single win. Its a lot about people perception of you online. Present things nicely, anwser questions, keep up on responses to your threads, and most importantly NAME DROP your product like its your job! It always helps when you are representing a good product, sometime you need to turn down a sponsorship offer. For example, I wouldn't bet you will see too many Team Double J drivers around here anymore.... Your sponsors need to know that people want to know what you have to say, and that you aren't just full of shit. Edit* Team TCS has established it name mainly by amazing drivers. Team TCS really has some incredible drivers and all are pretty good guys, except Kami.........he's a prick HAHAHAHA Last edited by Harley; 09-01-2008 at 08:26 PM.
