| Thinking of starting a PA Crawler group!
Well, since I am going to be getting into crawling, I was thinking about starting a PA group. The PARCC... PA RC Crawlers. Would there be anyone interested? -Casey |

What? What are you talking about? He's just trying to build up a group of people to hold events on a regular basis in the PA area. He tossed out some names for fun too. I started up ORCRC without spending a dime last year.... it's grown a bit since then too.

Perhaps if we got enough member, we could each pay a little bit, and buy a plot of land to hold our get togethers/competitions. Maybe people in different areas could scout out possible places. Just maybe :?

WOW... you'd need either some serious cash or a ton of people willing to pony up some serious cash. Figure a nice piece of land with crawler type land, creek(s), hills, rocks, etc.... $40-50-100K I'd hold off on this idea for a long time Quote:
I've even started looking at fountains and rock structures in the downtown area of Portland for good crawling spots for the ORCRC gang....gotta mix it up ya know.

Easy young one! Dont put the horse before the cart. First off, there are only 4 of us in PA that I know of so far on this forum and one is out in Pittsburgh. Yeah it'd be nice to have a crawlin "park" to call our own but you are talkin waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay down the road!! Just gettin people together to crawl will be hard enough.

already have one in western PA dude... PARCCA (Pennsylvania Remote Controlled Crawling Association) website is going up in a week or two. If you want in, you're more than welcome! we need some more guys from E PA to help spread the word. Mainly we're gonna be going to all the local r/c tracks/shops and some 1:1 car cruises to promote this section of the hobby. so if you would like to join PM me and i'll get you on the members list. Same goes for everyone else! Matt |

you have no idea how hard it is... there are about 6 of us over near Pittsburgh PA, and we STILL have yet to officially get together for a comp. Even Jugg Crawler from canada was supposed to trek down to meet up, but our site got canceled and we couldnt go... Everyone around here has just been busy Matt

No doubt its rough, Matt! I'd have enough problem getting together here in Eastern PA. I certainly appreciate the offer though. Maybe in the future if theres an Eastern and Western PA group we could meet for a crawl. Good idea to go to cruises and the like, and also to hobby shops. Next year will be better for me(2nd baby on the way, wife's in the hospital for 4 weeks) but I'll see what I can do in the meantime as far as gettin the word out about it. Eric |

Guys, TOTAL CARNAGE and I from RC Ave raceway in Bradenville, PA are both getting into crawlers and have plenty of on-sight terrain to drive on! Not only that but we even thought about a crawling weekend event at a local 4wd club's property if there was enough interest. We'd get there early and set up camp(tents and such), charge up all of our packs, pick a trail and go. Maybe even have one of the kids shuttling battery packs back to camp on a mini bike to get recharged. Crawl around all day, camp-fire crawl in the evening, camp out and do it all again the next day on a different trail! Any interest in joining us? We'd probably have to charge something to cover the costs of using the club property, maybe like $50 per or something, but it would be well worth it because the terrain there is awesome! So any interest?
