Electronic dig switches are a mechanical speed control, are they no longer allowed?

I agree this is all crap and you will see a huge, I mean huge drop in attendance. if the no reverse goes in then what we need to do is go to our local hooby store dump a ton of boulders on the dirt track. Then we add transponders. Drop all the judges, and run a closed 5 minute course. then you have a score keeper and the who runs the most laps wins. I think that would be called rock racing. That is not where this spport came from or where I want to see it go. All indivisuality goes out the window

I have to agree with the 90% of the posts I am just getting into the toy version of rock crawling, and no reverse I'm not even going to bother doing any comps, I will just take my toy when I am out on the rocks with my real toy, so I hope the powers that be really think this whole thing out.

You are correct, I am really just trying to fully understand what the new rules will be.

EeePee, your a moderator, is this rule for real? Will other rules be adjusted to make this one work? What is the plan?

I am a Mod, but I'm not on the rule committee.

We have a short conversation about it in our lair, and I'm all for it.

Step up to the plate fellas! This will separate the women from the men.

You'll just have to learn how to use forward throttle to get yourself out of bad situations.

DUDE... What are you smoking??? All of you??? There are times that it is physically impossible to continue going forward, or you are gonna break stuff. And if your mindset is "too bad for you..." then you are gonna be killing this hobby. The same people that started it are gonna be the ones that kill it.

Sure heavy on the trigger, makes sence, break your stuff have to spend more money because you had to throttle out of a jam. So you have to spend even more money on parts or just drop a few hundred buck on new axles yea! That makes great sence if your the one making the money because people are breaking more often.

Not everone is a expert and can pick the best lines in and never have to use reverse, however there should be a point were once you exceed said numbers of reveres your done, then take what ever points for exceeding the max reverse rule. That should be looked into.

Turn the body around, and swap your axles around too.

Duh.

Plug the battery wires into the motor wire and the motor wires into the battery. Also, make sure you ad a piece of wire going from the positive wire to the negative wire on all your lipos.

You gotta add gears so they spin the other way.

Cheaters? Yeah, you just swap the motors and body around, then move your steering servo to the other one.

Just got back from practicing w/ my Mamba Max set to forward only. Man, you talk about having to concentrate!

My head hurts, but I was able to clear about 80% of the gates w/o needing to use a reverse. The other gates were a PITA because I didn't pick the correct line to start with.

But I'm learning!
