Heck yeah.

In Georgia that article would read:

"Police were called to the scene of a home invasion and attempted robbery when the 86 year-old homeowner called police to come remove the two dead burglars from his home and one from his back yard..."

Then somewhere near the end of the story it'd be nice to see...

"According to police the homeowner is suing each of the departed's estates for damages caused during the attempted robbery."

Stormin2u 10-15-2008 07:58 AM

Yeah it's all good if you can take them out yourself when they try to rob or assault you which I personally agree with. I'm a combat vet and know I can get that done no question.

But there are people who can't defend themselves?

What really needs to happen is our court systems don't take any bull shit from the defense attorneys and severely punished the offenders (F**k the Miranda). Criminal attacks on the US general public are supported by our namby pamby laws to protect that protect violators civil rights.

This is not the problem in Singapore where when you break a law the punishments are so severe you won't even consider crime. You will be publicly canned for littering, robbery you loose your hands, Rape lose your genitals and so on. They have very little crime and hardly any repeat violators now that's a deterrent for the criminally minded.

If we had laws like that we could use our guns strictly for sport and the unarmed general public would be safe as well.

The funny thing, is that they broke into their drug dealers house and beat up their dealer...So basicly it was a 2 for one sale:lol:...And one of them just got a full ride scholarship to Notre Dame to play football...

Sheesh.

We actually had an old guy put down some burglars here in town.

Cops were like "Old man has good aim."

Those that do get caught are punished.

That creates a fear of consequence in the rest (for the most part) of the population.

Peaceful surrender! You call yourself a police officer. A famous movie quote comes to mind. "oh shit, I just shot Marvin in the face... It just went off, I don't know why, you must of hit a bump or something."

There's your excuse. Next time make sure they won't get out in 6 months and do it again. Seriously though, nice work and thank you for making our country a safer place to live, really.

JIA, your comments make me won't to move to the south. Here in Cali, the paper would read.

Homeowner brutally guns down 3 men trying to assault his wife and kids. The homeowner shot 2 men at close range with his 12g. shotgun and the other from a distance with his bow & arrow, hitting the 3rd man in the chest with a razor tipped arrow. Shredding his insides to bits. The 3 intruders families are now living in the homeowners house and driving his cars while the homeowner pays their taxes and attorney fees. Damn lawyers

Ok, maybe that was a bit of what i'd like to do to a robber.

I feel real sorry for anyone who breaks in my house when I'm home. They won't be leaving they way they came I'll tell you that. I don't care if I go to jail, as long as they don't get the chance to get out on parole. Our Justice system sucks. You know it's bad when cops quit being cops because it's just easier to let the bastard go. I heard that from a former Cop turned DEA agent who know owns a liqour store.

Great stories, but they'd most likely get charged with murder or attempted murder here unless they were an off duty cop:x

Gotta laugh outta this one though
