Thumbs up What I did with the money I got from my Digler Clod

I sold my digler clod and put the money towards the coolest basher I've ever owned.

This isn't just any normal HPI MT2 18SS, this one is "special". That's cause it's brushless!

Yup, that's a Feigao 8s motor and MGM TMM 8012-3s controller

A little brushless PC fan that I bought in Germany for 1 Euro (about 75 cents) for cooling duty

And, last but not least, Mugen 1/8 buggy shocks to soak up those 50 foot drops

Here's the bench test:

And it's first run back when it was still brushed:

Waste of a good nitro chassis, but to each his own.

Thanks. It wasn't all that hard. Just had to do some dremelization, drill some new holes, cut out a motor plate and that's about it.

It's a great chassis and was begging to be a BL conversion, that's why I bought it. Waste? WTF are you smokin? This thing friggin hauls both faster and more reliable than it's nitro counterpart.

taking such a balaced chassis and messing with the configuration, my Nitro MT(not 2) has been nothing but reliable.

That's awesome man! Maybe I should do that with the one that's been setting on my table for a year now (doesn't even have a gallon through it ).

A buddy blew his nitro mts motor, rebuilt it, blew it again, so he bought another gas motor for it. Hasn't run it but maybe 3 tanks since. Wonder what I could get it for.......

I've had 2 NMT's (first ed.) Both have been a blast to drive but a pain to keep running. I have never been able to tune an enigin. I still have one mt that is mostly in pieces, and i plan to turn it brushless. Just a quick question, is there a lot of flex with the upper plate removed?

Nope, no flex at all. It's more of a plastic junk holder than an upper deck.

Worked out the chassis layout a bit.

The electrified MT2's first full length movie after becoming brushless will be posted on the 8th, for now, you can watch this preview:

9 Sanyo 3600 cells through a 8 turn brushless motor...yeah it's crazystupid fast.
