yeah those axle were eaton models (i dont member which ones) but they can withstand anything. there kinda like when a dana 60 and a ford 9" have kids.

Now THAT'S a Pikes Peak hill climb I'd actually like to see! Now that most of the road is paved in the Peak, I don't care much to watch the event anymore.

Actually they were NAPCO axles, which were modified GM corporate axles, that was later purchased by Dana. I just found this out last night as I saw one on Barret-Jackson and couldn't remember who did the conversions....

you are totally right the eaton's didnt come till later like 60's and early 70's i believe.

Glad you guys liked it, I found the link on Pickuptrucks.com in a thread about a Napco converted '60 Apache that sold at the B-J auction for $38k.

Love the vintage stuff. That's one of my all time favorite trucks. Let's see more vintage vids if you find them.
