|  YZF426 bikes, anyone got one?
I am going to pick one up pretty soon, my bro sold his awhile ago and got another one again. Time to get a big bike. Anyone got any good tricks for more power? I heard of the BK mod, and 450 exhaust cam for auto decompression. Any other good stuff to do?  |

Why is everyone panseys for 4strokes? If you want a bike go 2stk! Try the 490 or 500cc. I had a 4 stk once i thought it was broken

I have a 00 yzf426 and it's probably one of the most reliable four strokes I've ever owned, only my XR250 was more reliable. Try to find a whitebro's pipe for it, they help out a lot. Oh and the 450 cam mod is a life saver. Pretty much you said all what I know to bump up the power on them.

2 strokes suck. Get a 4 stroke. The new 4 strokes are way different then they used to be. My 3 brothers all ride YZ450F all the low end torque and you can rev the shit out of it, 11,000 rpms. Best of both worlds. And you don't have to mix fuel or pack extra gas on a long ride. I used to have a 426, kick starting that thing sucked. The new 450's are sweet! If you want more power then get the KTM 530EXC, that's my next bike.  |
