| I like to call them Anti Humanists. More fitting. Aren't there more of us supporters than tree huggers anyway. Since when dose the minority rule. Oh that's right, since that last election we had. |

| I don't get it. The OP says 500+ billion barrels but the article linked to that is supposed to blow my mind is titled, "3 to 4.3 Billion Barrels of Technically Recoverable Oil Assessed in North Dakota and Montana’s Bakken Formation—25 Times More Than 1995 Estimate." Am I missing something obvious? edit: Apparently I am not, http://www.snopes.com/politics/gasoline/bakken.asp They estimate that the US uses 3.65 billion barrels in a year. So while 3 billion barrels of oil is very nice, it's not 41 years of nice. Last edited by tinsoldier; 03-23-2009 at 02:25 PM. |

| Sounds like the minority or majority never taught you to do real fact checking. |

| Isn't most of that in oil shale? While it's technically recoverable, it's far more costly than regular liquid oil. |

I simply stated it's obvious you never were taught to intelligently fact check something before believing it whole-heartedly, by the majority or minority (meaning ALL).

Not really Correct Bakken Oil Shale Info If we were able to recover the oil in the Bakken field and the tree huggers allowed us to drill in ANWAR, we could be oil independent.... Last edited by montana.matt; 03-24-2009 at 12:05 PM.

| We could be oil independent, no doubt. Only problem is. The "minority" group that is the tree huggers have a crapload more money then the non huggers. LOL. Even if we were able to be free of foreign oil, Price still aint' gonna go down. Not after seeing what the oil companies can get away with, with ripping us a new one on the gas prices the last couple of years. The days of $1.00, .50 cents, hell even a nickel a gallon are long and gone. |
