Default AIG Bus Tour

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – A busload of activists representing working- and middle-class families paid visits Saturday to the lavish homes of American International Group executives to protest the tens of millions of dollars in bonuses awarded by the struggling insurance company after it received a massive federal bailout.
About 40 protesters sought to urge AIG executives who received a portion of the $165 million in bonuses to do more to help families.

To me this was 100% wrong. Next they will be showing up at your house saying you make to much and need to give some of your hard earned money to some low income person. I see this type of behavior being common place in the near future. We are creating class warfare among other things.

This aint good.

Agree. Granted I don't agree with AIG taking a shit ton of federal money and then giving out big checks to CEO's.

True enough, but it'll make them think twice before they do it again.

If they really want to get to the bottom of things, they need to find the persons house that issued the bonuses and protest there...

granted I don't think the bonuses were a good thing.

Now the door is open for forcing contract re-negotiations (UAW) that screws people out of benefits (union retires, that now have to start working again to cover health insurance)

With the AIG bonuses the door is open for if you get on the bad side of some gov official they can tax the living shit out of you.

bad form on both sides.

I see Federal crime in progress...

Mary Huguley, center, delivers a letter of protest for Douglas Poling in a mailbox outside his home in Fairfield Conn. on Saturday March 21, 2009.

An unidentified security guard working outside the home of Douglas Poling in Fairfield, Conn. directs Mary Huguley to place a protest letter in the mail box, Saturday March 21, 2009.

That would be the white house, not hard to find. I just heard that it was ACRON who set up the bus trip.........

It's Congress' fault they got those bonus's, Senator Chris Dodd (who has recieved more than $150,000 in donations from AIG) wrote it in himself, they've known about these bonus's all along, and what's 165 million dollars compared to the 2 trillion dollars that Congress just wasted? Why aren't there buses going to all thier houses or places of work? The whole AIG bonus fiasco was just a distraction

The saddest thing about AIG is that congress knew about the bonus's and knew they where going to issue them but still gave AIG the money. Then when the public finds out and they freak out, our congress turns there back on AIG and then in a matter of days forces a 90% tax on the bonuses. It is all about votes and not doing what is right anymore, let them give out there bonus's it was under contract.

And on a side note part of the bailout if im not mistaken was 150 million dollars to buy congress new cars, i think the bonus's would be more worth while than new cars.
