as much as I like windows over any other OS I gotta say I'd be scared to test/try the beta version of anything they release. I have had enough problems out of 98, 2000, XP, and Vista I have been dying to use these all of these from the |

yeah ive been testing it on my gaming rig. i like it a lot . there are a couple things u have to get used to coming from xp . but it feels quicker than my xp install, boots faster loads startup programs like instantly (no waiting around for them to load before using apps) gaming performance is about on par with xp witch is great (took vista more than a year to get to there) cant wait for it actually , xp is what 8 years old which makes it the longest used windows operating system in history lol. time for something new system core2duo e6600 @3.4ghz 4 gigs gskill pc2 8500 gigabyte 965pds3 mb evga gtx275 @stock 4 now 2x 500gb in raid |

Vista however is no different than ME, a buggy ugly version of the release before. | |

Hopefully I can wait a bit longer and just skip over Vista, and get a new comp when 7 is out of beta.

| Theres pretty strong rumors that 7 will be out before 2010...which is a great thing for users and businesses. I'd rather run 2000 or XP at my company than Vista. |

I go to Citrix "Round Table" meetings...and every time the moderator asks "How many of you have migrated to VISTA?" Every time, the group has maybe 1 poor soul that has migrated to Vista....the VAST majority are sticking with XP. That being said, We have been testing Windows 7 Beta, and even in Beta, it is GREAT. I have been able to get ALL of our "corporate" apps to run without errors, and all looks great. When it comes time to migrate the user community to Windows 7....I will be on-board. |
