Default Picked up a 1985 Toyota 4Runner

Found it on craigslist, and after it was listed a second time I couldn't resist calling on it. It has a 4 inch lift and sits on 35 inch tires with the stock gears. Not sure why the guy didn't drop some 4.88's in it, its a little sluggish off the line in first gear.

The passenger side has a few rust spots around the gas filler, and on the back quarter panel. Both doors also have a few rust spots. But its pretty clean for a '85 in this salty state...

More pictures later this weekend

I'd have removed that fancy purple sticker before I took pics of the thing.

One night is one night too many.

BTW, don't forget to grab your 3M adhesive remover.

Thanks, picked it up for $2500. Dual cases and full body armor are first on the list. Following that up with a rear aussie locker, and high steer.

One of the 35's started leaking air, so I put my old 33" super swampers on it. After switching the wheels around, the flares looked very out of place and had to go. I am digging the new look, I will be going back to 35's later this summer when I have the money saved up. The swampers will get the job done for now

I also have some more rust to repair now, doesn't look like it will be to hard to fix though.

Also modeled up a rear bumper in solidworks, just need to pick up some steel now.

I like the look of it a lot better on the swampers.

I'd stick with the 33's they look the best on it. Looks good.

Please don't paint it. The paint on it now looks sweet. Very jealous on how clean it is.

Thanks

I will be buying a set of 35x12.5 goodyear mtr kevlar tires and cragar soft 8s with 3.25" back spacing. I will need more offset then my current rims provide to clear the hi steer.

Definitely keeping the paint ;)

I like the 33's also. I would do something to keep that rust at bay ASAP as it will keep getting worse.

And loose part of the kick ass graphics? Fawk that!

I might hit up the steel yard this weekend. Pick up some sheet metal and the tubing for the rear bumper
