An Imperial Mild?!? That makes no sense, but I want one!

A few more strong ones for you. I think I posted Gubna before, but I love that stuff! $14 for a 4-pack is a bit steep though.

Ha, I had a Gubna tonight! $14 for a four pack steep? Not really if you think about it. Basically $3.50 a beer for good quality, high octane, craft brew. There's times where I spend a helluva lot more than that on shittier beers. I think it's the whole "can" thing that throws people off.

Stuff I drank this weekend at "The Bruery" 2nd anniversary party will sell for $30 per 750ml bottle. Makes buying Gubna feel like buying buttweiper on sale at Costco. I have beer that I plan on cellaring longer than most wines I have.

No sense, but it's good. Three of em, followed by a 22 of Hop Stoopid and I was ready for bed about an hour and a half earlier than normal.

I've had about five or ten of these things and never get the chance to take a picture. Finally.

Four dollars for 22 ounces of great beer for a mid afternoon'r, on a holiday.

"Cascade, Centennial, Chinook and Columbus - hops, hops, hops!"

I'd like to try that one....never seen it here in Colorado though.

Rototilled my garden today, so it was time for a refreshing Blackberry Wheat. I got this one from the "Cannibalistic, Humanoid, Underground Brewery".

Sounds good I'll have to stop by and check that one out soon!

I recently had the chance to try a few of these Vapor Cave IPAs.
A bit stronger than I like, but very tasty. Strong hop flavor and plenty of malt too...

How is it?

I picked up a bottle of Utopias (27%) a couple years back, tasted like ass...$140 down the toilet.

Well, I think my camera has just about had enough. Ten attempts and this is the best one I got.

I'm gonna quote someone from the Beeradvocate.com website because it's easier than typing.

Quote:
A good beer, but not what I expected from a IIPA - sure, up front there is the big, hoppy wallop, closely followed by a somewhat syrupy sweetness that usuall accompanies the hops assault. Then, rather oddly, the hops melt away at the finish. Rather than the long, lingering bitterness clinging to the back of the tongue, this beer sort of finishes up and moves on. Interesting.
The way this beer finishes is so unusual. Just packs its bags and heads out. Pretty cool.

I paid $7.75 last night for a rather flat Fat Tire at Red Rocks...two of these crappy beers, and I could of bought a 4-pack of Gubna

I guess you're paying for the experience...

I took that picture at the top...we had a spot down on the left, right next to the stage. Red Rocks is a great place to see a band, but damn proud of their beer.
