Whoops!!!! Somehow the beer thread slipped to page 6 again

Had this one before I went to Chicago. If you ever go, make sure you get an Iron Maiden burger at Kuma's Corner. You can even sit under a picture of Iron Maiden while you eat it

I had to wait in line for over an hour. Luckily half of that was inside so I could have as many Lagunitas IPA's as I wanted (gotta love public transportation). By the time the burger showed up, there was no time for pictures....I was starving.

Not a big fan of buying beer that just says "ale", but since it was Lagunitas I figured I couldn't go wrong. Very tasty

Had this one last night. Not bad but probably won't get it again...I'd rather have a Hop-15.

Sierra Nevada makes some of the best beer ever, in my opinion. This one did not disappoint.

Son of a...how did I miss this one?!? I picked up a 12 pack of Dale's tonight thinking, "If only there was something different". Now I have to go searching.

Picked up some beers tonight.

Unibroue's Maudite. Belgian Ale. 8%

(Not my picture)

Super complex, and surprisingly really good. Gotta be like ten different flavors going on in there one after the next, and with much presence. Odd, and good. Little bit costly at $12 for 4 but I'll say it's worth it.

Guy at the store said if I have an experience like the label artwork shows, make sure I let him know.

And more Founder's Centennial.

Haven't had a St Bernardus I didn't like. Their Tripel and Abt12 are my favorites in their lineup.

I missed out on that one this year, but at least I was able to get some Bell's Hopslam.

Kick ass!

Quote:
2011 marks the 100th birthday of Mississippi Delta bluesman Robert Johnson who, according to legend, sold his soul down at the crossroads in a midnight bargain and changed music forever. Working again with our friends at Sony Legacy (yup, the same folks we did our Miles Davis-inspired Bitches Brew with), Dogfish Head pays tribute to this blues legend by gettin the hellhounds off his trail and into this finely-crafted ale.

Hellhound is a super-hoppy ale that hits 100 IBUs in the brewhouse, 10.0 ABV, 10.0 SRM in color, and dry-hopped with 100% centennial hops at a rate of 100 kilos per 100 barrel brew-length. Can you tell we at Dogfish are stoked for this mighty musical centennial? To accentuate and magnify the citrusy notes of the centennial hops (and as a shout out to Robert Johnsons mentor Blind Lemon Jefferson) we add dried lemon peel and flesh to the whirlpool.
In tha house!

But first I will warm up with some Two Brothers Resistance IPA. Very piney, and bitter.

Then, party!

The Hoptimum is seasonal, you missed it.

I had this Eel River organic IPA and I didn't like it very much. Tooo malty/sweet for my taste, not enough hops. Look at how brown that thing is...
