| 1/8" thick clear bodies?? Would 1/8" thick formed bodies be too heavy or thick?? That would be a .125" thickness, more than double the standard .060". Anybody see any problems with that??? What about 3/32" (.093"). just a thought, my wheels are turning. BTW, you could probably stand on a 1/8" thick body if it was formed right. |

aside from being pretty heavy, you'd lose a lot of surface detail. do you need a bulletproof body for some reason?

Yeah, I thought about the detail.... I don't need that tough of a body but its whats available near me. I would rather use .060 so it will still have some flex, but I'll hafta spec order it. I don't want to order a bulk lot on the first try. Ya think the LHS would have 24x24 sheets of it???

There was a company out that made super thick bodies for rc trucks I think the name was like bash men or something like that they had a 10,000 dollar guarantee that you couldnt brake or rip them.I cant find them now I will look it up and see.I belive they were .120 thick and REAL ugly.

SmashMen bodies held the $10,000 challenge. Thier site is www.smashmen.com, but it seems to be down. |
