|  Yall gotta wish me luck. theres this lil creek where i grew up. its chock full of lil trout. i fish all summer long and catch a bunch of 8-16 inchers on any given day.  the water level has dropped. there is this massive pool, that gets deeper towards the noth side, under a tree. last night i tangled with a trout that woulda easily been the biggest id ever caught on the eastern slope. 3 times he cam out, 1 time he mouthed my panther martin, and dropped it. its a big knarl male brown. and a smart fugger. this fish is as long as the distance between my knee and heel, my guess is 7+lbs, 24" + i almost got him. today im mounting up with my standard reel and a fly set up. my best presetations and some good luck, and ima gonna catche 'em and kiss his head. |

| same pool, last year much higher flow. (smaller male brown too)  its different this year, in the pic the white water is under the trees in the pic, and the depth is closer to my side. this year, its deep under the trees, and the sandbar is on myside....... slingshots casting is the only way i can get @ it Last edited by BEELZEBOB; 08-21-2009 at 04:12 PM. |

| Nice! Good luck with the "stalk"! I tangled with a 5# brown on Delaney Buttes with a 5wt fly rod out of the bellyboat almost 7 years ago...talk about a fun fight  He towed me around pretty good, probably took 4-5 runs, each time he was within 10' of the tube all hell would break loose and he'd spool me every time. He broke me off when I had him about a 1/4 of the way into the net...needless to say I was spent and just sat there bobbing in the water for awhile until the sun started to set. |

| Nice fish, Its too warm here to fish for trout unless we head up to the sierras. Weve been killing the saltwater.....been doing alright with stripers, sharks, halibut and bat rays |

| I made a mistake!!! lol and brought my buddy with me!!! it wasnt the "one" but het caught a monster LOL!!! the whole where i was trying to go got mussed up by a hippy's dog...... so im goin up again tomorrow! |
