Alright, I have to ask

I have heard some rumors floating around about the usrcca, and "A WELL KNOWN COMPANY" buying them out and taking over.
That there are alot of new rule changes and whatnot.

Does anyone know what the eff is going on.

Tupers 08-28-2009 10:04 AM

Yeh it's true.

They're going to ban moa axles and reverse. :ror:

soundcolor 08-28-2009 10:08 AM

WTF....

seriously.... is that really the case?

helhedded 08-28-2009 10:09 AM

If they are just rumors, then why push it further by starting a thread? I'm sure you could have pm'd Jason or Badger and got an answer.

I guess it doesn't matter either way. I doubt they have anything to hide.

soundcolor 08-28-2009 10:15 AM

First because I didn't think about PMing them
Second because they never respond
Third, because they may not be inclined to say if it is the case.

However, asking a straight up question out in the open where everyone can see can quickly disspell a rumor. I wanted a straight answer without calling any particular people/company into question.

Thus my point for asking. If there is nothing going on, then there is nothing to worry about. However, if there are changes afoot, then I feel like its only fair to let the community know whats going on with their hobby.

Before this gets out of control with rumors.

Yes the USRCCA was sold, no it wasn't sold to a company.

There will not be a ton of rule changes.

The current club setup and rules committee will remain in place.

This is totally for the betterment of the sport, RCC had to split ways with the sanctioning body side of it.

crunky 08-28-2009 10:38 AM

hey rcctv... how the hell you been ?
where have you been ?

need more stunt spray !

soundcolor 08-28-2009 10:43 AM

Thank you for posting up that information.

I do have a few more questions IF you can answer them. I understand if for whatever reason you are not at liberty to say.

Who bought it...?

What changes to the rules are going to take effect and when...?

Why has no official announcement been made about this...?

Code454 08-28-2009 10:48 AM

really they dont need to inform anyone that is was sold, and to who it was sold to, if the new owner wants to do so than they can otherwise it really isnt know how for anyone else, thats what i would think

As far as I am aware there are no rules that are going to be changing, like I said the rules committee is going to remain functioning just like they always have, so it'd all go through them.

The announcement is going to be made here at the worlds.

soundcolor 08-28-2009 10:50 AM

Isn't it nice that a public sanctioning body was sold privately and discretely without a chance for anyone else to bid on it?

soundcolor 08-28-2009 01:25 PM

My concerns with this are strickly in the interests of fairness. I dont care how, or why it was sold. All I care about is who bought it.

Now before I go any further at all, let me say that I sent the new owner, who is a member of this board, a PM. He has not responded to me as of yet. When and If he doees I will let you all know.

After a very quick google search of the name Jake Hallenbeck I found out that he is the owner of CKRC...

Really...

He is also a memeber here "KingBling"

In all fairness, the fact that he owns a shop, and the sanctioning body doesnt neccessarily have to be a bad thing. If he can keep the two seperate and be fair with it.

It is important to note that CKRC did not buy the usrcca, rather CKRC's owner did.

As I said, I sent him a PM. I will wait for his response before I pass my judgement.

JeremyH 08-28-2009 01:34 PM

It will likely be a while on his response.....Jake and Brian are both in charge of running the World competition this weekend and are likely pretty busy.

dblrnut 08-28-2009 01:36 PM

yea not to happy to see the letters ckrc not after paying for 2-3 day priority been waiting 2 weeks and counting. god only knows the direction its going to go now:?

Since when was it a public sanctioning body? Jason and Badger could have done whatever whenever. They started it they can do what they want. PERIOD.

Do I like the change.........well.....
