As long as the new seat is made of carbon fiber, I don't think you'll have any issues again.

Carbon seat, plastic hardware. Put that one on your show toilet.

I've never broken one, WTF are you people doing on the toilet?

Shop for seats at Home Depot and try 'em out on one of those 5-gallon buckets they leave all over the place. Careful, it's easy to get carried away. Leave your pants on.

I assume mine were all just cheap quality, I mean really, they aren't gonna put a $30 seat on a new newly built house this day and age...

It is a lot more fun to hold it over her head though.

I'll never understand people who sit and read while they're on the pot. Do you guys like your own brand that much that you'll stew in it?

Crap and get off the pot. If it takes you 10 minutes to crap, get more fiber in your diet.

My dad used to take the comics out of the Sunday paper and read them while dropping a deuce... We wouldn't see him for at least a half hour

If my stuff stinks, I'll open the window. The bathroom is quiet, peaceful and no wife/kid/animal distractions to bother me. I'll take my time.

Fiber? It's not always that simple for those that have issues with certain foods. Myself, I've got that dairy thing that effects me..... take for example yesterday, I ate a small, I mean SMALL slice of pizza at work(11am). I looked for the one with almost zero cheese. Ever since last night at 7pm until right now(8:45am) I'm in pain and feel the urge to shit every 12-15 minutes. It's down right painful! I ate nothing after getting home from work since I had a feeling that my stomach was going to be upset.

Guys at work know my routine, it's pretty funny actually. See me walking through the shop at 9:30 and you know to stay back. Saturdays I kill the bathrooms at 7:40am though.

ok its simple why one would have to wiggle.... if one might have excessive butt hair your chances for dingle berries increase dramatically. instead of reaching down there and ripping it out, berry and hair why not try the easier approach 1st and give it a wiggle ? maybe it will just fall off.

this may not be the case in your situation but its a plausible theory and could happen in the rite conditions.

If I don't lock the door they try and hang out with me during the deed!!!!

Judging by the smell coming off your sleeping bag I think you were using it as a seat cushion, or possibly a filter? That's why you've never broken one. I'm sure Andy will agree.

I was alerted by my family that we were to have guests today, so I figured it would be a good time to replace the seat.

Since I had to go to Wal-Mart anyway, I browsed thier options on throne lids and came away with what I believe to be a sturdy, well built, classy yet understated ass-platform. The chrome plated metal hinges and solid wood contruction should last quite a while...but I'm still keeping my fingers crossed.

I have that same seat! Just replaced ours just a few weeks back. The old one was a cheapo MDF seat and the humidity from the shower and bum sweat caused it to buckle and crack.

Yea, those MDF ones are junk, we've started just buying decent quality plastic ones. We had one that was fairly expensive and that only lasted a month or so
