Default Koenigsegg One:1, 1340HP, 1:1 power to weight ratio

Attention One-Percenters, your latest ultra-exotic, limited-edition hypercar is nearly here. It's called the Koenigsegg One:1, and it should be an insane road-going time machine that transports you to future sections of roads in the blink of an eye. We first brought you details on the One:1 as far back as November 2012. Since then official renderings of the car have surfaced and now the first photo of the completed product has been released.

The One:1 is a very much a Koenigsegg product, one based on the Agera line of supercars recently launched in the U.S., though numerous upgrades mean it’s virtually an all-new car.

Set to debut early next month at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, the car gets its name from the fact that it will produce one horsepower for every kilogram of weight. It will tip the scales at just 1,340 kilograms (2,954 pounds), according to The Wall Street Journal, meaning, you guessed it, a final output of 1,340 horsepower.

Performance, as you would expect given the insane power to weight ratio will be nothing short of amazing. Koenigsegg is confident the car will set new acceleration records for the 0-200 km/h (0-124 mph), 0-300 km/h (0-186 mph) and even 0-400 km/h (0-248 mph) sprints. The latter could be as quick as 20 seconds.

But the claims don’t end there. Given enough track length and suitable tires, the One:1 is said to even be capable of accelerating past 450 km/h (279 mph), based on simulated data. This would give the car the production car land speed record, which currently stands at 267.8 mph, as set in 2010 by the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport.

Only six examples will be built, and all of them are said to have been been pre-sold. Not like it matters now, but the going price is believed to be around $2 million.

Stay tuned for the full reveal of the Koenigsegg One:1 in the lead up to the 2014 Geneva Motor Show’s March 4 opening day.

No doubt it will be an amazing car, just like all their stuff. I still think the CCX is my favorite of theirs however. But that's only 1:1 for limeys on the other side of the pond.

I believe the Hennessy Venom holds the fastest hyper car title currently. (might be wrong, but I thought I just saw an episode of Tech Toys that featured it at being a 278MPH car with 1100-1200 HP I think)
It's a twin turbo 7.0 GM motor in a ALL NEW Lotus car.

I'm not great at attaching stuff so maybe Stang Killa can see if there's something on it. It looks like one Hellava track car.

dont forget SSC (Shelby Super Cars) in west richland washington, VW wouldnt let him run his car on the track where Bugatti set the record. He ran 256 on an old two lane highway with a 72 year old man driving lol

The Koenigsegg is a production car, the Hennessey uses a highly modified Lotus Exige chassis so arguably it is a tuner car.

I accept that argument, and insert my own to consider.
How many "car" companies are using their OWN engines for their cars?? What does the Koenigsegg use for a drive train? Argument could be tuner for it as well.
Reguardless of the chassis, or drivetrain, "Hennessy" is making the car. just my opinion tho. It's not like I have the money for either, I'd just like to drive one.

If i'm not mistaken they build their own engines. At least they did on the second edition of the CCX and up

The Koenigsegg drivetrain is 100% their own, designed in house. From the webpage;
