Here is how mine went. For the Colorado guys, you might know where it was. Highway 285, 1 1/2 miles south of Fairplay at about 8:30pm on December 1st.

But was the crawler in the back allright.

Glad to see no major injuries.
That brings back memories from my yota rolling over and trying to hurt me.

Ouch! Get better soon.

Looks like the majority of the Jeep damage will just buff out, after you cut the top half off.

Thanks EeePee. The plans for it are to buy it back from insurance and turn it into a straight crawler and buy a tow truck with the insurance money.

Yet another good example of why a "sport" cage is a good idea. Every time I get in my Jeep I think to myself "remember to duck".

Nice wounds. But look on the bright side. Chicks dig scars! At least you're ok. Shame about the Jeep though.

They were all the way to the muscle. I could see the muscle moving before they stitched it up. But all is well. I have a bottle of Vicadin

I wish I could say it was mine but it is a friends. We were comming back up to Denver from some wheeling at Choke Cherry Canyon in Farmington, NM. The road looked clear minus a little snow blowing accross it. A gust of wind cought the rear of the Jeep sending us sideways into the on comming lane. We then hit the shoulder and went on 2 wheels on the passenger side then gripped and thrown to the driver side and gripped hard and flung us in the air. We ended up upside down and facing the opposite direction about 30-40 yards off the road in a field. I am guessing that we flipped(I did say flipped) about 2 1/2-3 1/2 times. I say flipped cause there are fery few marks at the crash site but the ones that are there are big holes in the dirt. I would say that came from being in the air most of the time and hitting the ground and bouncing back. We were doing 50-55 on the road again cause it looked clear. There were no road signs stating the icy conditions. My buddy was driving and he now has a ticket because I got hurt. I am going to help him fight it in court. He got Wreckless Driving and Caused Bodily Injury. I think i is all bull **** cause it was an accident. It isnt his fault.

Oh yeah, almost forgot. Jeep's kick the **** out of Toyotas.

I never trusted those factory "cages" until that night.

I have plenty of scars, they dont bother me anymore.

And it actually isnt a shame about the Jeep. It is going to crawl again. It just wont be street legal after my buddy and I are done with it.

It'll heal up quick, lucky there wasn't any muscle or tendon damage as deep as the cuts are.

I sustained similiar injuries to my left hand when I worked in industrial maintenance. I looked down and saw bones, muscles, tendons..... I was fine 'til the blood started squirting out..... then I passed out . :-P

Man, sucks about your buddy's Jeep, but at least you both are alright. Nothing but some cosmetic damage to yourselves. The Jeep can be rebuilt pretty easy, people....not so much.

The only thing I am worried about is I have very little feeling in the top of my fingers. It might just be like that because it is still swollen pretty bad but It wouldnt be too bad to not get the feeling back in the tops of my fingers. I have allready lost 70% of the feeling in my bottom lip from a snowboarding accident. Easy to deal with.

As for squirting blood, yo should have seen the stream when they took my IV out. It was narly.

Thanks for all the kind words guys. I know it was an accident and dont hold anything against my buddy. **** happens. I walked away with a few stitches and bruises and all he got was a few bruises and bumps. All is good and the Jeep will see only rocks when we are done with it. My buddy allready owns a 1967 CJ7 with Dana 44's and a Buick V6 so he needed a tow truck anyway. I guess this worked out for the best. The only thing it hindered was his job and my opportunity to work with him for some great money this month. There is always time though.

Well guys, I finally got to take the bandage off my hand. That sucked cause all the blood dried and the bandage was stuck to almost every damn stitch. LOL looks like it will heal good but there is going to be some nasty scars. I am just glad I can move everything on my hand. 7-8 more days and the stitches come out. Then I can go back to work on my crawler. wounds LOL

I cut my right index finger right at the knuckle where it attaches to the hand. I cut it to the bone and ended up with 10 stitches, and a nice scar!

Glad to know you weren't seriously wounded.
